Mitch Trubisky is an all-state quarterback and an Ohio State football fan.
Needless to say, it doesn't get any bigger than drawing the interest of the Buckeyes during the recruiting process.
Sunday was a big day for the 6-foot-3, 200-pound All-Ohioan. Trubisky, who went to the Ohio State campus in Columbus for a Junior Day visit along with other high school standouts, confirmed a scholarship offer is on the table for him to play at Ohio State.

First saw Mitch Trubisky, Mentor's talented junior quarterback do battle against Lakewood St Ed's last fall. Playing as a sophomore against the eventual Division 1 state champion was not easy. Not very big and had average arm strength, but there was just something that I liked in him. For the most part, he just kept coming back after getting knocked down. He competed.
Last week, Mitch was a different story. Natural leader on the field. Listed at 6'3-215, he much stronger, as has put on good weight. Strong arm. Really can make all of the throws. Like his ability to read the secondary. Like his ability to escape and also his toughness as a ball carrier. Needs to be more patient in the pocket. At times, he throws off his back foot, instead of stepping up into the pocket. But he makes plays with his legs or his arm.
