Minny at tOSU, Sat. 11/18, 4pm, BTN

6. MINNESOTA (NOV. 18, HOME)

Average Ranking: 6.1
High: 5
Low: 8

Like Michigan State, the entire staff agreed that Minnesota would not be one of the four easiest teams to beat but that it also wouldn’t be one of the four toughest.

The Golden Gophers have enough weapons on both sides of the ball to be a contender in the Big Ten West, and the penultimate week of the regular season always comes with the threat of the Buckeyes getting caught looking ahead to The Game. But Ohio State has won 12 straight games against Minnesota dating back to 2001, and the Buckeyes will surely want to put their best foot forward on Senior Day in their final home game of the year.

Will travel to C'bus to spend Turkey Day with our daughter. She suggested that we come early and go see Minny at the Shoe. Done and done. Have tickets in C deck (my Dad's favorite place). Are there any 'open' tailgates? Also, have never parked anywhere else but in Chemical Abstracts parking lot (Dad was Director for decades), so, any insights on walkable parking? Thanks in advance. Cannot wait to see Script Ohio once more.

Watched the pre-game for YSU. Wifey kinda looked askance when I sang (?) Beautiful Ohio, in a somewhat off-key warble, and I still get goosebumps when I hear Le Regiment....mentioned to her that we'd be seated with about 45 minutes before kick-off. Parking hints? West of campus and hoof it?

Tailgating: "HineyGate" is no longer there; but, you might want to consider the one at the Varsity Club. In addition, there is a lot of stuff going on in the grassy area in front of St. John's and the ROTC Building.

Parking: There is parking all over. See links below:

Unless K-syllables plays way above his head when facing the Buckeyes (like Wimsatt did) this will be the worst passing game the Bullets face all year. While they beat Sparty by a couple scores a couple weeks ago, this is a bad matchup for them.

Most years I get itchy the week before the game because there’s so much strangeness that week

The Goophers don’t have what it takes to make this interesting

31-6
