Why was the official keeping Haskins from snapping the ball with the clock running after the first down?

Because we subbed, the defense gets an opportunity to sub.

It was dumb of us to sub in that situation with no time outs, but "dumb" was a big part of that half.

That drive, I believe. Until the final play, not one ball was thrown 10 yards. No timeouts, short throws in the middle of the field on 1st down. Not optimal.

Yep. At least 2 passes completed in traffic would've been picked if Barrett threw them. Not many college QBs can fit the ball in there with such tight coverage.
