When sushi makes a mistake like that, you can tell she's worked up. One time, she was so mad at me, that she ended a sentence in a preposition. It was scary.

I know what you mean...I saw a double negative in an Ann Coulter debate one time and immediately grabbed my flashlight, batteries, and water jugs before heading to the basement.

Then I remembered that due to the sandy soilbase of the south, we typically do not have basements. So I just closed my eyes and dreamed of happy things like butterflies and ponies....then CCI entered my dream and either killed them all or had sex with them.

Then I got sick and threw up in my mouth.

By the time I regained my composure, she had edited the post and I felt better...

Totally not my problem. I couldn't care less what PETA does -- I'm not involved with them.

I just think it's funny that some of you guys think that writing companies about Vick is ridiculous, however as soon as ESPN or someone writes a negative piece about your favorite sports team, then writing letters is OK. :roll1:

So you dont care what Peta does but you care what vick does?

why?

dont get me wrong, what vick did is not right and he will get punished for it, i just dont understand why people need to make a big deal about it.

I think writing letters to companies when you disagree with them or dislike someone that they sponsor is a good thing. Part of what makes this country so great, being able to speak our minds and be heard. I just don't think a few hundred people emailing a mega company like Nike can "force" them to do anything. Just my opinion.

Uh, because PETA isn't killing dogs. They have every right to protest, just like you have a right to protest against whatever you feel passionate about.

what??!! Peta kills more animals then any all the dog fighting in the world combined.

So far they have killed 80% of the animals that they have taken in. In 2005 they killed over 90% of the animals.

Peta Kills Animals

or how about 2 of their employees getting 31 felony charges on them for crulity to animals??

Press Release | PETA Employees Face 31 Felony Animal-Cruelty Charges for Killing, Dumping Dogs

Do you know for a fact that only a few hundred people write to Nike? Animal rights groups were really pushing the letter-writing campaigns. I wouldn't be surprised if the figure was much higher.

I'm going to stick to my "wait until he's found guilty of something" stance before I think he should have to be punished. The media, whether it's intentional or not, is putting a bias on the stories. A story that makes it look as though Vick is guilty is going to get better ratings that one that says, "Nothing new to report" will. It looks bad for Vick, but it was this way for Ohio State only 4 years ago. With the way the story looks, only an old lady claiming to see some Dementors could save Harry Potter now. Let the case run its course, and punishments will be handed out accordingly.

No, I don't know for a fact. Just a generalization. Most people who say they will or do write letters actually don't. Even if it's a thousand people, still don't believe that can force someone like Nike to make a decision that it didn't already plan on making anyway. Besides, they only suspended his contract, it's not like they dumped him. There is still a presumption with some people that a person is innocent until proven guilty.
