Mike Vick (Pittsburgh Steelers)

I beg to differ with most of you when you say he is "done".
How about these scenarios.
1. Vick's lawyer gets the jury loaded his way and gets him off.
2. Vick makes a plea bargain and goes home
3. Vick makes a plea bargain and serves a short sentence
4. Vick goes to jail and gets out in 23 days.
At any rate he may be playing again by next year or even this year.
He is young enough so he will play again in the NFL. JMHO

That is the whole purpose. If they can make an absolute mockery of the trial and everyone involved in it, it can only help Vick.
It amazes me the things that the NAACP gets involved with. I don't know if anything can help Vick right now, short of the guy that copped a plea having an "accident".......

Unfortunately, you are likely right. However, if it were you or me facing those charges...

Keep on believing that your voice doesn't matter. Do you think Nike would have suspended Vick's deal if people had not forced them to? One of my neighbors wrote the NFL, Nike, and a few other companies that Vick was connected to, and Nike was the only one to respond to her. They were reading the correspondence. Hence the action they took.

thats all wonderful in all that you and your neighbors write the NFL, Nike and other corperations :tibor:, but why does Peta and other animal activists have to protest the Falcons Camp? :shake:

The falcons had nothing to do with it other then he was employeed by them. And all of the protesting is causing issues at the camp with the Falcons fans and with the players concentration.

I have read on the falcons board where a few of the people there have almost got in fights with the Peta people because they wont keep their mouth shut (Peta protestors) when they and their family's walk past them. They are there to see the falcons, not support vick.

PETA and most other animal protest groups are out of line during their protests. This does not surprise me. It just seems to me that your cause loses it's credibility when you act like idiots.

The plea deal was formally entered for co-defendant Taylor in court this morning.

No details on the deal were reported as yet, sentencing for Taylor will occur in mid-December.
One of Michael Vick's co-defendants pleaded guilty Monday to federal dog-fighting conspiracy charges in a plea agreement with prosecutors.

Tony Taylor, 34, who will be sentenced Dec. 14, said he was not promised any specific sentence in return for his cooperation with the government.

Taylor, of Hampton, Va., entered his plea in U.S. District Court to conspiracy to travel in interstate commerce in aid of unlawful activities, and conspiring to sponsor a dog in an animal fighting venture.

BTW, I think this plea deal takes of the list of Best Buckeyes Vick return to NFL scenarios items 2 and 3. There is no longer any need for the Feds to contemplate a deal with Vick as they have their star witness in hand with Taylor.

Lets hope he brings protection lest we have another "Ron Mexico" case.

I nominate we throw Ronnie, Paris, Britney and Lohan on an island. That way he can train those skanks to fight to the death. Kill 4 birds with one stone.

I agree with you about the plea bargain although you just never know. It is hard to tell how it will go since this is not the same as a crime against people and the notoriety of the case alone may help or hurt Vick.
I would however entertain a vbet on how long he gets sentenced for and
whether or not he will even go to jail.
And in any event I would bet that he plays in the NFL again.

Totally not my problem. I couldn't care less what PETA does -- I'm not involved with them.

I just think it's funny that some of you guys think that writing companies about Vick is ridiculous, however as soon as ESPN or someone writes a negative piece about your favorite sports team, then writing letters is OK. :roll1:
