Mike Vick (Pittsburgh Steelers)

The same reason any investigation/trial has leaks... it sells.

At this point, it's real hard to feel bad for the guy when these details leak out, regardless of the avenue.

So basically they are trying to make money off of this...

I will believe him to be guilty when he is found guilty, but his name is sure getting smeared in the mud on this one, b4 a trial or anything even takes place...

I don't remember PacMan Jones going to trial yet and he got suspended for a year by the NFL. Not to mention the guy was more than convicted by the media and by the court of public opinion. Why should Vick not suffer the same fate here? If they keep procuring more evidence that shows Vick's direct involvement he should be dealt the same kind of suspension. If something similar doesn't happen to Vick, as far a long suspension, this is definitely an example of favoritism for the big money superstar.

I don't know if sources get paid, but it gets leaked for the same reason that we find out why a player was suspended for conduct detrimental to the team.... we're interested.

Sorry, he did this to himself. Regardless of what degree of guilt he possesses in this latest scandal, he ran with and supported the wrong crowd. The responsibility is still his.

Poor Mike Vick. Yeah, I can't believe somebody would own some property and not even care what goes on there. How is a NFL player who is sooo busy expected to be responsible like that? :roll1:

Dude, Vick straight up lied to the Commissioner and said he didn't have anything to do with it. The Commissioner, at a minimum to save face because he suspended PacMan, is going to have to hit Vick with something. He came out and said that things would be different on his watch and then proved it with Jones. Now Vick has basically dared him to follow through. He's got to suspend Vick to prove that no one is bigger than the league. I hope Blank was smart enough to put a clause in the contract about illegal acts, etc., but he probably wasn't because he was too in love with the idiot thug.

Pac Man was never convicted, but arrested 5 times and questioned 10 times...He is appealing the suspension right now...

I understand that he is with the wrong crowd, supporting the wrong crowd, I have said such, and he has said he needs to take care of that, I just think that with this evidence true or not is smearing his name in the mud, and you have people that are going to believe all this, even tho it is just hearsay at this point...

I was being serious I was curious as to why he thought that he would be suspended, b/c he hadnt been convicted of anything...He answered the question in his post after that...

First nothing has been proven yet, So you must have talked to Vick or the commish and know this?

I answered the Pacman question above, don't really think it is parallel to this instance...

Also showing your true colors calling someone a thug...

Straight up.....do you think Vick had anything to do with the dog fighting? I don't want a "we don't have enough evidence to prove or disprove" answer, because that is basically saying "yes, but he's the QB of my favorite NFL team so I'll cut him some slack."

The point is that nothing has to be "proven" in order for him to get hit with some kind of penalty. Since you're a Falcon fan, I hope you like Joey Harrington.

Not sure what my "true colors" are, but if thinking Mike Vick is a thug constitutes them, so be it.
