Weird. I got that he was saying you can sell college football any day of the week. I also kinda thought he has no clue were shit is in the fridge because he has a long hour job that sells football. Or maybe his wife actually enjoys football that much. It's not even the first time someone has said something along the same lines. Too drunk to search for examples right now however. I also get that someone could decide to interpret it the way you said.
