Microsoft E3 Announcements

unless I actually have elven ears, a killer do (sp?), flyboy sunglasses, the only embarrassment is my present company above. Plus, that cartoon character has a much better physique :p

I don't have high hopes for it. The demos of Home I saw looked clunky and over-realistic/Second Life'ish. Bad idea if that is still the route they're going.
The thing I like about "Home" isn't the avatars or the other crap..

I wanna meet up with my buddies in the Socom room.. look at the maps together on a 3d sand table.. plan our strategies out.. press a button and launch into a clan battle.

I won't cloud this thread up with any more fanboy crap.

So I activated the netflix, seems like about 50% of the instant views are for the xbox. I turned it on, said activate, it gave me a code, logged into netflix, entered the code, and it activated. You still need to queue the movies in your netflix queue, but it's still a pretty cool feature.

When you say queue, is it the same queue as your DVD order rentals?

Or is there a separate queue for streaming movies?

Basically, would you interrupt the regular mail orders by doing 360 downloads, or have to return one first?

Well, the instant view queue looks to be different, either way, you could just always keep it at the bottom to assure the movie doesn't get rented.

The impmroved interface and gui is a big plus for me. The speed, simplicity and organization of various elements are a big step up from clunky to sleek and refined. Someone said it best when they said this feels much more apple than it does microsoft. Then again, at the core of the upgrades are obvious thefts from Nintendo's Mii faces and Apple's scrolling albums, so maybe it's microsoft to the T.
