Michigan State Spartans (official thread)

NO. 2 MICHIGAN STATE: SPARTY
Sparty yes!

For all the ups and downs Ohio State fans have had with Michigan's other program, you have to give credit where credit's due. Sparty is good.

Who wouldn't want an absolutely jacked spartan warrior representing your team? He's great with the fans. He's great with the cheerleaders. He's great with the band. What more could you want?

I like Sparty... as a mascot. Michigan is better off with out a mascot. I mean, don’t you fell sorry for Ped State with that flea bitten, saggy baggy, cat? It just screams low budget.

So I am just gonna say that give me 4 more years of the Khaki and I will be happy. I was concerned...no very concerned that the success from the last few years under CMD was over and gone. But after CMT putting it together I now have some hope MSU can put it back together. With an average QB and a Frosh WR MSU beat a team that should have steam rolled MSU. MSU is lacking any depth and high level speed on offense. And the QB is at best an average QB for the B10. SO I will take that win and run with it. And be hopeful that SCum will sign Captain Dumbass to a longer and larger contract.

I gotta say that I was surprised. But the defense has been looking even better than under CMD. Lots of big plays and a bit more pressure by design. I think MSU has found a decent coach. We won't know how good he really is until a few years and see how he recruits and develops players and the program. But 2 wins over top 10 teams (I realize it is a stretch) in his first year and I think thatis as many as hairball has in 6 years.
