As hilarious as that would be, we'd probably need to divert some of the ref fund to help sparty out. Msu's offense is exactly the type that don brown will feast on and have those idiots convinced they're ready for Day's death machine. It will be low scoring (take the under even if it is 20) but shea will hit one or two arm punts to their receivers and that will be enough for a couple tds/fgs.

The only constant with Shea is inconsistency.
There's a roll of the dice which team will show up every week.
Dantonio does look like he's lost the locker room ... or just stopped caring because of the shit in the closet... will be interesting to see if the players step up on their own?
Hard to imagine scUM doesnt put some 'little brother' nonsense out in the next week.

I'm with you. I think their players will rally just because of the personal nature of the rivalry but it won't be enough.

The wildcard is Mississippi Jesus. If he is feeling extra generous with the turnovers, Sparty could have a shot but odds are that @Palpie observation is what happens. MSU's OL and QB are just so fucking dreadful that Don Brown's 1 trick pony defense will feast.

If they are smart (highly questionable) they get out in front of everyone and go hire Fickell.

He would be the perfect successor to Dantonio and his ties to Ohio HS recruiting would get them right back to being a major pain in the ass for tsun (and, unfortunately, OSU).

Then the new scUm head coach walks into the same scenario Simple Jim walked into; a vibrant recruiting machine at MSU, a monster in Columbus and ND getting their normal share of Midwestern catholic school kids.

I don't think they're pulling much from PA anymore either. Franklin may have the game management IQ of a houseplant, but he brings in a fair amount of talent.

Is there any chance Sparty will face sanctions as a result of the ongoing investigation?

I agree Fickell would be a smart hire for MSU. I'm questioning whether it's a smart move for Fickell.

The Dr investigations?
If Penn State got away with what happened in their own locker room while the Head Coach was fully aware ... I don't see how NCAA will ever punish another school for that kind of stuff.

Loss of Institutional Control is A-OK, so long as it means fake degrees and rape.
Just don't let your players get tattoos or fly their girlfriend to the Rose Bowl.
