They were just pulling scUM's chain. You don't want Boom Herron, Connor Smith, or Chris Wells?
They were just pulling scUM's chain.
Whoa now, hold on. Pace and Speilman, to name 2, had scUM in their final 5.
Call this TJBlog #1 for the day, but for the boards only:
You can be 99% sure, no make that 100%, no make that 1000% -- that if there is any validity to the Burgess thing, that it is directly tied to the OSU-U-M game, as gamesmanship. Any other claims are completely incredulous.
Anything to distract, get U-M to take their eye off the ball, even slightly ... the total war concept. Whatever happened to sportsmanship -- not in Ohio.
From water turned off in hotels, to police dogs, to this (if true) ... just make no mistake, and believe no incredulous 'we know nothing about it' claims ...
Again I stress, IF this one turns out true, it would not be out of character ...
It is not a 1-man operation at OSU Athletics, just like it isn't at U-M.
Many, many, many employees, with many, many, many responsibilities.
IMO Tressel is very busy ignoring, as usual, everything (ala Fisher) outside the lockerroom and the chalk-stripes.
And, at the very least, OSU Ath. Dept. could CREATE the atmosphere of sportsmanship if they so desired, at the stadium, in the city, in the state ... U-M athletics does, as do most of college programs ... OSU does the opposite ... they are the worst with U-M, but just ask Texas for ex. ... players' families, and opposing fans, are in danger there, and OSU does nothing about it, just for one thing .. and they could, as I say, create an atmosphere of sportsmanship ... to neglect this, to turn a blind eye, promotes the atmosphere of gamesmanship.
And of course with U-M it goes way beyond this.
