MichaeLLLLLLLLL "0-9" ‘Bike’ Hart (douchebag)

don't just brush this post off because it mentions Hitler. He doesn't say Mike Hart = Hitler. I think it's a pretty good point; just because you have passion doesn't mean you're a good _______________....in this case, teammate.

I was thinking more along the lines that while Hitler couldn't win the big ones either, he didn't start 0-2...:p

Yeah, but Hitler scheduled cupcakes like @France and @Poland to pad his stats. When the schedule got real rough was with the road trip to Russia (which is always a difficult place to play), so that put an end to their run real quick.

Ask Napoleon. Ask Abdul Haq and the Mujahideen. You always want Russia at home, never on the road.

Pffft. They're worse than the SEC. They may venture into 'Stan-ville to take on the Uzbeks, Afghans, and/or Kazaks, but good luck getting them to Western Europe where someone might put up a decent fight. Shameful.

Hart gets to run behind great Michigan O-lines every season. He's #2 in the country right now with 162.67 ypg, but his average is only 5.45 ypc. That may seem like a lot, but eight of the other nine in the top 10 have a better ypc than him. Hart carries the ball far more than any other back in the country...he has 179 carries while the next closet is P.J. Hill with 160. You want to see a better running back who is getting little hype? Try UCF's Kevin Smith. He leads the nation in rushing at 172 ypg, scored the most TDs (11 vice Hart's 10), and averages over half a yard more per carry than Hart. While UCF's schedule may not be as tough as Michigan's, he's certainly not running behind a line comparable to Michigan's either...

As much as he talks, I don't think you can say that he isn't one of the best RBs in the country.

I mean as far as the Heisman goes, I don't necessarily think he should win it, but he is a great runner. He's one of the few guys who always manages to gain an extra yard or two just falling down. He is one tough kid.

Just saw this little gem:
Not sure if the video was posted, but he got run through the ringer in the TSUN thread. I don't care for his press demeanor, but he's one heck of a rb, stats or otherwise.

Smith being underrated doesn't really change that, it merely suggests that perhaps we should make room for him up there as well.
Hart gets to run behind great Michigan O-lines every season.
Not sure this UM line falls into that category (esp the suspect right side), and the past few years have certainly not been close to the decade or so before it. He certainly has it better than some (smith), but I think UM's OL lineage results in skewed views on their current bodies.
That may seem like a lot, but eight of the other nine in the top 10 have a better ypc than him.
Do the other 8 have offensive coordinators calling run left, run left, pass? There are a lot of variables in play, and I'm not sure Hart is nearly as blessed as you claim.

I think you're right to pimp Smith, but I've seen Hart have too much success in an archaic, uncreative offense with chemistry issues abounding to downgrade his performance.

Are you criticizing Mike DeBord? You just wait, he's working on some trick plays for the Game this year. I got word of one his trick plays.....Better get mentally prepared for this....Play action, and TWO tight ends running crossing routes..I can see your defense's confusion as we speak  Just kidding, DeBord is brutal and his playcalling is awful.

I agree with you about the O-line. The left side of the line, I'd say, is really fucking good, but the right side, well, not so much.

That's fine. I have it on good authority that JT is working on a trick play, too ... This year they're actually going to hand the ball to the fullback out of the I formation! Go figure ...

I've banged the drum on Michigan's TEs for a few years now. If you've got issues with Mike DeBord's use of the TEs, you must ask yourself, 'Do I actually want the ball in Tyler Ecker's hands more?'

Hey Ecker, you're not the fastest guy on the field! On the last play of the game, pitch the damn ball to Breaston!!! :p

I don't have an issue about the TE. I just meant that would be the extent of trickery from DeBord. I don't mind the ball in Carson Butler's hands when he actually catches the damn thing

Ecker 40: Something like 4.8
Breaston 40: Something like 4.45

Hmm who should get the ball here???

Hart should be the Heisman favorite at this point.

The guy has been a machine this year.

I hope that line of thought continues to prevail in the media. It will make it all the more fun to have a Heisman on the line for him when we beat their ass again this year.

I'll believe he makes it to week 12 healthy when I see it, he just isn't built for 30 carries per game into 8-9 man fronts that know he's running left.
