MichaeLLLLLLLLL "0-9" ‘Bike’ Hart (douchebag)

You have to expect some blind hate towards hart on an OSU site. That isn't always well reasoned :wink:4 tds against OSU next season... well, "probably."He does give himself nicknames.
Long gave up big bucks... the other two sacrifices are a bit overhyped, at least Hart's. Henne would not have been a first rounder last season (but was a potential one next year heading into this season), and Hart is unlikely to go high in the draft (not overly fast, plus some durability concerns).would.

Well said. Especially the part about blind hate at our site. Mike Hart seems to have some arrogance, but considering what it takes to be an athlete, it's not surprising. You SHOULD feel some of that, even if you don't say it. It's part of what gives you confidence as an athlete.

And yeah, I'm quite certain that Buckeye players that have exhibited the same behavior are still beloved to most of us. David Boston included. But Mike Hart is the enemy, so it doesn't matter what some skunkbear fan has to say.

I don't know about Boston, personally I just feel like he's a disappointment, he had potential and just chose to waste it away. I respect what he did for the team when he was here, but his mouth and habits just make me hang my head.

However, I do agree, Hart is the enemy and I am sure a lot of people can't look past that to see how talented the guy is. Either way, it doesn't matter at this point, he hasn't done ANYTHING in college, no bowl games, no huge victories, just talk. To me, if you are going to open your mouth, you should be able to back it up and at this point the team he's been on hasn't had that ability.

I can understand the presumption of blind hatred given the rivalry but I don't think that is what this is about. Blind hatred is just calling someone a bad name or ripping him for no reason other than because it's fun to do. I think the people on this site (myself included) who think Hart is a jackass have put up reasonable arguments including factual information and quotes by Hart himself to support the argument. That sort of healthy debate does not lend itself to "blind hatred". Moreover as much as I hate Michigan with every cell of my body I gave huge props to Jake Long for being the one who literally picked up his douchebag teammate when he kicked the Oregon DB in the knee and practically carried him away from the skuffle. I don't know what Long said but I imagine it was something like, "Don't be a douche, we're getting our asses kicked and that's not helping." If it were about blind hatred I couldn't feel that.

You know, you're probably the 25th person on this board over the last two weeks to refer to Michigan players as douches. That made me think that, you know, Wolverines are vicious little animals, while this Michigan team is anything but that. The Michigan team needs an enema, or maybe a douche. Hell, maybe they need both!

It's time Lloyd flushed this program clean from the inside-out, and get rid of all those stinky players.

So, with apologies to one of my favorite South Park episodes, I suggest that Michigan drops the name "Wolverines" and goes with "The Michigan Douches" until Carr has everything cleaned up.

This is what the press conference to introduce the new mascot would look like:

Whatever. If you can't see that the sentiment regarding Hart is a bit overblown, than that's fine. He's a kid and yeah he has an ego and he talks more than we'd prefer...but it's comical to see how awful he is in the eyes of the enemy.

It's the ego that gave himself the H2O nickname, and the arrogance that made him claim that he could beat OSU if he had another shot. I respect the guy for keeping a positive attitude after the humiliation that he must be feeling, but he ALWAYS takes his comments one step too far into the "cocky prick" territory.

I mean, seriously, who gives himself a nickname??? Are you honestly going to tell me that a humble man is the type of person who does that kind of crap?

And you say "Michigan is an easy target right now" as if we're out of line to laugh at your misfortunes. You do realize that you're on a Buckeye board, right? And you do realize that OSU/Michigan are bitter rivals, right? Hell yeah we're going to laugh at you while you're down. As a matter of a fact, we'll give you a few kicks in the groin while you're down too! I'd expect the same from you ("you" being a generalization for the general wolverine fan population). Actually, I recall being kicked around a few times during Coop's final years. Irony can be a wonderful thing. That's what keeps this the #1 rivalry in all of sports. That's what made last year "The Game of the Century". That's what motivates Hart to come back for his senior year. (I wonder how much he regrets that now).
Look, I wouldn't be here if I didn't have a certain tolerance for abuse. I happen to enjoy the talk and the back-and-forth, and I don't think I'm waltzing in here and demanding you stop making fun of Michigan. It goes with the territory and I just ignore most of it - like I'm ever gonna get anybody to stop saying "scUM". But I will still speak up about Hart, because while Buckeyes fans see a "whiny bitch" through scarlet goggles, I see a passionate athlete and a loyal Wolverine through maize-and-blue ones. So I'll stand up for that.

I'm 100% sure there's more to Mike Hart than somebody who just loves his team too much to watch them lose....and that's why he behaves the way he does. He's a cocky, whiny, piece of shit. He's easily the best RB in the B10....and it's not even that close.....but he's also a gigantic piece of shit.

Hey I can certainly appreciate the last remark. Just remember, Hitler was pretty passionate too...internal motivations may not be as they appear from the outside

I think Hart is kind of funny actually, because just when people associated with other teams, even Buckeyes, start to begrudgingly give him his due or stick up for him, he comes out with some over-the-top hyperbole, like guaranteeing a victory with a team that couldn't be a I-AA team 2 weeks ago, or acting like beating OSU in 2007 was a given after we just punked some Wolverine ass out for the 3rd year in a row in 2006. He is passionate, plays hard, takes a big hit, runs between the tackles, and isn't afraid to mix it up with his own team or the other one. He's also arrogant, conceited, whines way too much when things don't go his way (OK we can probably blame LLLLLI-AAoyd's Yoda-like guidance for that), and he says a lot of things that makes one question if winning and losing the game actually registers with him at all (like when he acts like Michigan was SO the better team, even though they just lost a game) or if he has Roy Williams Disease ("The score means nothing"). Anyone who doesn't think he plays hard and has immesne talent is fooling themselves...and anyone who thinks he isn't over-the-top arrogant has no grounding in reality.

don't just brush this post off because it mentions Hitler. He doesn't say Mike Hart = Hitler. I think it's a pretty good point; just because you have passion doesn't mean you're a good _______________....in this case, teammate.
