MichaeLLLLLLLLL "0-9" ‘Bike’ Hart (douchebag)

I'm not fond of trading secondaries...

Neither am I considering we held one of the nation's best passing attacks to 182 yards (They got the rest once it was well over), and shut down one of the better receivers in the country, holding him to -4 yards on 2 cathes.

Taking last year's defense over this year's defense is really not a great idea, especially considering we returned nearly our entire back 7, and one of the best DE's in the country.

Lets say UF's assesment is dead on and we're going to have trouble stopping the really good, physical run teams. Here's why I'm still somewhat optamistic. A good run team has to have a good defense to really get you in trouble, a bad defense can cause them to have to play catch up and abandon the run.

MSU: Good run team, bad defense especially vs the pass
PSU: Good D but bad run team, liability pass offense
Wisky: Good run team, bad defense especially vs the pass
Ill: Good run, shakey D vs the pass
tsun: Good run, bad D especially vs the spread, bad ST

We could be vulnerable to the run and still beat those 5 teams considering 3 are at home. We lose 1 at most imo. The B10 is epicly bad right now.

Untill we get to the Bowl game I don't think we are going to face a complete team, one that can hurt us running and play stout enough D to shut our O down. I just hope we get better by the Bowl so as to avoid last years embarrassment again.

Unless we have the luxury of playing USF.

I think I may have asked this before (not sure), but from a non-I hate Mike Hart because he chirps so much standpoint, where do you expect him to go in the draft and what do you think his 40 time will be? I'm thinking 4.5 and 2-3rd round, what do you guys think?

Well there's a few factors to take into consideration here.

First, he's getting a lot of touches, if I was a scUM fan I would be concerned about his health. The kid has heart, he can carry a team, but I worry that he may run himself into the ground while keeping a missagain team in the running for a bowl game.

Second, his size could be a factor, but I doubt it will be. I see him going high to be honest, this years draft is looking pretty thin which will work well to his advantage, there's no real stand outs, I expect out of the first 10 players picked 7 will probably be defense or linemen.

Because NFL GMs put so much stock in combine results, if Hart's not a workout warrior (and I don't know if he is or is not) then he'll be a 3rd rounder tops. There's an injury risk factor, along with the heavy work-load (as it relates to his size) and I don't think the Michigan pedigree of NFL backs will help much (Unless the fuckin Bengals have 60 first and second round picks)... likewise, his mouth won't help either, particularly in this new "walk a straight line" NFL. That's not to say he's a troublemaker off the field, but I'd figure his yap raises some flags.

That said, the kid runs hard, seems to play whenever his body is able (though I still don't know why he was riding a bike against Appy State in the 3rd Q... I suspect it's coaching, though, and not injury since he ran fine when called on) and has shown a great deal of ball security. He seems to seldom fall on the first hit, and - contrary to the down side of a heavy workload - has shown he can A) take a pounding and B) can be a 30 carry back if needed.

He runs between the tackles, but if they're going to want a guy to get to the edge, he's not that guy. This factor may also hurt as it relates to size, in as much as taking a punishing from NFL LBs would scare me away from risking much money on the guy before he "proves" himself at the next level.

4.65-4.79. I'd take him mid to late 3rd, if he can stay healthy the rest of the year (despite the workload).

That slow? Wow. He was a 4.5 out of HS, actually listed at 4.4 on Rivals.com Mike Hart - Football Recruiting

Buckeyeskickbuttocks, I think he was riding the bike because he had a deep bruise on his leg apparently and I suppose was trying to keep his legs loose. Just an opinion, I don't know if I'm right or not.

You are correct about the thigh bruise.

1) 4.40 was the fastest combine time last year, peterson/pittman/etc.

2) He doesn't run like a 4.4/4.5 guy imo... more 4.6/7 material, especially in combine times.

3) 40 time should be irrelevant for someone who wants hart imo... I want to know about his mileage and running style at the next level. I know he can ball.
