I hope they get it big. Not just because I hate their school and everything they stand for. I do not fully understand "swag" but apparently it is what poors use to get laid.

In any event, this is what the NCAA should be there for (minus the improper investigation techniques). Tons and tons of evidence of balatant wrongdoings and much of the institution was complicit, or simply turned their head the other way. And Shalala knows damn well what happened...she has lied out of her ass for years now and it is about to come crashing down on her. And hard. I guess what I am saying is that the NCAA is the only thing that would hit Shalala :paranoid:

Miami charged with lack of control

Miami finally received its notice of allegations from the NCAA, which accused the school of having a "lack of institutional control" for not monitoring the conduct of a booster who provided thousands of dollars in cash, gifts and other items to football and men's basketball players.
.
.
.
"We deeply regret any violations, but we have suffered enough," Miami president Donna Shalala said in a statement announcing the university had received notice from the NCAA.
.
.
.
Next up: The sanctions phase, where Miami's penalties will be decided. The Hurricanes have already self-imposed several sanctions, including sitting out two bowl games and a conference football championship game. Shalala said Monday she believes those punishments should be enough.

Agreed. And after Shalala came out and ran her mouth in the papers a day or two ago and attempting to thumb her nose at the NCAA, that university deserves everything negative it gets for appointing someone like that as its president.

@JayBilas - After 2 years of shoddy, unethical NCAA "investigating," to deliver a Notice of Allegations to Miami yesterday is beyond tone deaf. Sad.

I don't understand this sentiment, but I'm seeing it from a few different media types. Yes, the NCAA has major issues. How does that mean Miami getting punished for their infractions is "sad?"

Some cops are corrupt. Does that mean they should all stop arresting criminals?

EShit ran a segment on this yesterday, pointing out how Emmert should resign and citing a number of questionable investigations that they claim are recent and tainted - Included were Ped State, UCLA, UNC, USC, etc., but Ohio State did not make the list... :shake:

Bilas has been making the rounds this week railing against the "hypocrisy" of the NCAA on the Miami case specifically. He's always one of ESPiN's best, but he needs to stick to basketball and telling jokes on twitter.

Not surprisingly, Cryami is having it's best basketball season ever. His criticisms aren't a coincidence.
