Why in the world would I say that? I enjoy the [censored] out of Miami or FSU or Georgia having issues and/or getting plunger raped by the NCAA. Champagne cork popping, high fiving, popcorn munching while I watch news on the teevee about it with pleasure.

I don't enjoy it when tOSU has issues. I have no reason I can think of no reason to dislike your program like I loathe theirs. Y'all were key in getting us our first MNC in '96. Your program and fans are the B1G program and fan base that most reminds me of Florida. <insert ducking behind couch smilie here>

*I do enjoy discussions that involve trying to lead a minority of moonies into the light :p

Best not to hide behind couches in this part of the world...

Sounds like something the south would enjoy.

I concur - and we have the same opinion.

These parents send their kids to these colleges, I would hope, to help their kids become men, etc... If they're corrupting them BEFORE they even join the school, and after, then that sh!t needs to stop.

You're being naive pal. Most of them think their son is the next great thing. They're looking for a payday.

Been a while since we've had an update on this.... Luther Campbell is suing him slander and sounds like defamation of character

Luther Campbell sues Shapiro

In the lawsuit, filed Tuesday, Campbell says Shapiro's statements unfairly accuse Campbell of "engaging in the same type and category of illegal and immoral behaviors'' with UM players as the Ponzi schemer.
Campbell's miaminewtimes.com blog from Aug.17, referring to Shapiro's claims, said, "That punk could never be me. First of all, I have never been a UM booster. I have never given a dime to the school. I have and always will support the players and the program out of civic pride, but I never violated any NCAA rules when I was the team's biggest fan in the '80s. And I definitely would not have ever paid for a stripper to abort a baby allegedly fathered by a UM football player, like Shapiro claims he did."

Its interesting reading Jason Whitlock (I know consider the source) he thinks all this shit is false "Let's hope Charles Robinson is qurstioned about sloppy reporting " - from his twitter....I kinda find it hard to believe that yahoo went there all that trouble and somehow got sloppy

Discovery is a beautiful thing in defamation lawsuits. If I were a Miami fan, I'd be incredibly pissed about this. I'm not a Miami fan, so I think it is BEAUTIFUL!

The fact that THAT guy is suing Nevin Shapiro makes me think Miami is going to get fucked.... Hard.

11:23 AM ET 10.09 | The bankruptcy trustee in the Nevin Shapiro case said it's trying to work with Miami and the NCAA to recoup money from former players and coaches before it takes matters into its own hands and considers issuing subpoenas to make the 72 alleged players testify under oath.

Funny......thought this was supposed to be some huge scandal.

Hold on..........wait.......did i? did i just hear a pin drop?

Exactly. If their fan base isn't outraged by it (we ALL know "fans" in South Beach have better things to spend their time on... Like coke, hookers, etc.), the NCAA just sweeps it under the rug. What a joke.

I say this with the utmost respect: please pay attention to the difference between the NCAA ruling on eligibility and the NCAA enforcement division ruling on violations of NCAA rules. They are not the same thing. The eligibility folks ruled on your Sugar Bowl eligibility in a week or two. We are still waiting on the enforcement fall out. Miami got an equally speedy ruling on eligibility. That will be followed by the enforcement folks, and that will also take a long time.

With USC it took years. With tOSU it is taking from the tat-5 discovery in December of 2010 until whenever a ruling is finally issued this Fall. Compare the tat-5 stuff to this. There is a Hell of a lot more leg work for the NCAA to do. Miami is not skating. They are just on borrowed time.

Your "sweep under the rug" stuff is just silly - at least and until the NCAA enforcement folks issue a final ruling. Hell, they have not even sent a Notice of Allegations yet. This is not swept. This is just pre-lubeless anal sex stage for the Canes.

Well the "sweep under the rug" is more apt for the media who just basically just ignored this ... which makes me more angry than the NCAA thing...

The double standard in reporting is obvious and real. That one point is something I would not have seen as an outside program fan if I had not spend some years on BP watching the double standard in play over that time. Now I know y'all are paranoid......but with a damn good reason. :p
