Miami (FL) Hurricanes (1926-2003)

I like Miami and even have a few shirts but I think the evidence is already pretty bad. There are pictures with players at his house for his birthday party and all that stuff, and another key part is the phone records. Why else are there all these calls/texts. I can see how the dinner bills cant be matched up but then agai you have the restaurant owner saying that they were their. And don't forget that Yahoo! backed up every single player on the list with another source, and there are more people/things unlisted that they couldn't prove with a backup source. The only good thing for the U is that unlike us where there was 8 months of offseason talk, the season starts in 2 weeks. Then it will be 98% talk of on the field stuff and an update here and there about the violations.

Well that is until the week of September 17th where we play. Expect some talk leading up to that game to say the least. :!

You mean the restaurant owners who made TONS of ca$h from Shapiro, paid by stolen money from the ponzi scheme fraud?

As he has spewed, so have others - ex-employees of Axcess Sports Mgmt have come out and said he is a liar. He made it sound like he ran the place, and ex-employees said all he did was invest $1.5M (stolen money no doubt) and showed up to one shareholder meeting in 7 years.

Who to believe? One convicted thief/con-man/liar? Or bunches of other people?

I'm just sayin'...

If the players did wrong, punishment needs to be doled out.
But I don't want the ONLY proof they have, to be the word of a convicted felon serving 20 years in prison for Fraud/Theft/Lying/Conning.

Shark, I get the denial, really I do...but these yahoo guys are the best in the business. The evidence they've already presented is pretty damning, and they have more. Coaches are involved, current players are involved. By the sounds of it, if they stonewall the ncaa, yahoo guys will unleash more evidence. This isn't just some jilted ex-girlfriend, this guy has pictures, cell phone records/text messages, receipts, and people corroborating what he's saying.

We tOSU folks know what you're feeling, but pretty much everything the yahoo guys said about us ended up being true. It was the CPD and si dorks that got greedy.

It's gonna be a bumpy road ahead, my friend. My condolences...
Oh, I'm not in denial - SOMETHING definitely happened...

You don't have a dirtbag thief like that hanging around THAT CLOSE to your program, and not have transgressions.

I'm not that delusional.

Still what do the restaurant owners get out of saying that players were there? How about the Phone records, the pictures? And the receipt for the suit McGahee wore to the Heisman ceremony is virtually indisputable. Also some former players that aren't in the NFL confirming it, but those in the NFL are just saying no comment. If it weren't true I'd think that they'd just say that it is not true and that's it, rather then no comment. I certainly hope it's not true, but looking at all the pictures, all the receipts, and all the phone records I certainly believe the man.

buddy, yahoo has more than shapiro's word. there is a ton of corroborating evidence. even ex-players have confirmed some of the allegations.

tell me, how does this guy (without money) fabricate all of this evidence while he's behind bars? he became bitter after he was caught. he became bitter after being denied bail money and assistance from those he allegedly assisted. he became bitter after he was more or less unable to (in your hopeful eyes) compile countless reams of damning evidence.

you mean this "convicted felon serving 20 years in prison for Fraud/Theft/Conning" who miami was more than willing to accept money from, more than willing to give inside access, and more than willing to let dozens upon dozens of players hang with in plain view to the whole city? apparently, miami was quite okay with letting a future inmate run the asylum.

I thought it was important to keep this thread on topic.

But buddy, trust me, I'm on your side. As unfair and as stupid as this whole thing is...and as bad as you feel about it...how you feel about it is not going to stop the NCAA from assraping you into the next century...

Stupid - yes,
Unfair?
No - not if they did the wrong thing.

If you break the rules, there are consequences that have to be paid.

Gonna break my heart for years if it's all true, but these boys gotta learn.

I'd rather have an honest team that's mid-pack year-in and year-out, than a dishonest team that's always on top. I love CFB more than anything 'cept maybe auto racing (I mean where they actually turn left) and moto racing, and would rather it remain honest, or at least some remote resemblance of honesty.

Yeah scum with tons of money that likes to flash it around the neighborhood is bad. Especially when he gets to thinking of making a football team his friends so he can live out some childhood fantasy he never had the talent to fullfill.

I love the way she's paying attention to nothing in the world besides the zeroes on that check. Shapiro could have been ass-raping the Ibis while stabbing the BBall coach and she wouldn't have noticed anything.

Um, he DID ass-rape the Ibis and stab the BBall Coach.

Ain't ya seen the news?
