The local ESPN radio guys here had Tim Reynolds from the AP who covers Miami sports ... first thing out of his mouth was "I blame Lebron" ... I about wrecked my car i was laughing so hard.. After that interview one of the host (owner of OrangeBloods) went on to say that "only Yahoo! was policing the NCAA, that ESPN couldnt do it because it has its hands in so many cookie jars that everywhere they turn its a conflict of interest".

I am keeping in mind, however, that this is all coming from a jilted felon serving 20 years for fraud, lying, cheating, and stealing.

Sorry, but that "he's a felon so we don't believe him" thing didn't work for Eddie Rife. Sorry, that card has been played a looooooong time ago.

Except Eddie Rife was smaller-than-smalltime, wasn't involved in a billion-dollar ponzi scheme, wasn't slapped with an $89M judgment, and is not writing a book he's trying to get published like this ass-clown is.

again - if it's all true - I'm not excusing anything.

But, ya gotta wonder what the guy's motives are, and what the so-called "proof" is.
Receipts?
Really? Tittie bar receipts with names? Love to see them... never seen that.
Financial records? What financial records? You mean like the ones he falsified for nearly a decade in the ponzi scheme?

If UM is proven guilty, I'll be first to scold them, and thell them off.
However, coming from a guy like this, how about some real proof, please.

This guy is a time-proven fraud, liar, thief, and con-man.

I will NEVER defend questionable acts by my team - as I've said many times, my first love is CFB, and if they do something to taint it, then they need to be handled - no exception.

1. The guy isn't writing a book. He WAS writing a book then probably figured I should get my name out there early before I go to FPMITA prison.

2. It's $930 million, not a billion. Semantics here....

3. Like Khan said, "Surely I have made my meaning clear..."

Chief is his feeling that after spending eight years forging what he thought were legitimate friendships with players, he was abandoned by many of the same Miami athletes he treated so well.

He told Yahoo! Sports that following his incarceration, he asked multiple players for financial help - either with bail money, or assistance to individuals close to the booster. Shapiro admitted some of those inquiries included angry letters and phone calls to players whom he provided benefits.

"Some of those players - a lot of those players - we used to say we were a family," Shapiro said. "Well, who do you go to for help when you need it? You go to your family. Why the hell wouldn't I go to them?"

Now feeling outcast, the booster said his goal is to rip away the facade of 'The U,' and reveal an ugly truth about one of the country's most celebrated college football programs.

I like Miami and even have a few shirts but I think the evidence is already pretty bad. There are pictures with players at his house for his birthday party and all that stuff, and another key part is the phone records. Why else are there all these calls/texts. I can see how the dinner bills cant be matched up but then agai you have the restaurant owner saying that they were their. And don't forget that Yahoo! backed up every single player on the list with another source, and there are more people/things unlisted that they couldn't prove with a backup source. The only good thing for the U is that unlike us where there was 8 months of offseason talk, the season starts in 2 weeks. Then it will be 98% talk of on the field stuff and an update here and there about the violations.

Well that is until the week of September 17th where we play. Expect some talk leading up to that game to say the least. :!

Shark, I get the denial, really I do...but these yahoo guys are the best in the business. The evidence they've already presented is pretty damning, and they have more. Coaches are involved, current players are involved. By the sounds of it, if they stonewall the ncaa, yahoo guys will unleash more evidence. This isn't just some jilted ex-girlfriend, this guy has pictures, cell phone records/text messages, receipts, and people corroborating what he's saying.

We tOSU folks know what you're feeling, but pretty much everything the yahoo guys said about us ended up being true. It was the CPD and si dorks that got greedy.

It's gonna be a bumpy road ahead, my friend. My condolences...
