Miami (FL) Hurricanes (1926-2003)

I remember hearing about this Shapiro guy last year and that he might do a "tell-all" type of interview with anyone willing to listen because of his Ponzi scheme and extensive involvement with the program. Why was yahoo the only journalistic outlet with the ability to report it? Seriously, I think it's funny that of all the sports journalism companys, one that goes by "Yahoo!" is the one with the most professional accreditation and know-how.

Talking to fellow coworkers this morning about this guy who broke the story and they make comments like, "Looks like he might be the next ESPN reporter blah blah blah." I have two thoughts on that. First, why would you want to go work for a firm where you're restricted to reporting things that fit the agenda of said firm? Second, I wish ESPN had guys like this that were capable of actual journalism rather than dipshits who specializing in sitting in a truck outside of brett favres house or beating up wives

Alex, you'll know they hate you when they only show "classic" games in which Nebraska loses. If you see Bobby Purify lighting up the Huskers on ESPNU, start painting the endzones.

Sorry if that still hurts.

Purify I can handle. Those SIX TD's Brown ran for were the skidmarks.

It's not the NCAA I'm worried about. It's ESPN grabbing this and starting the same bullshiat they did with tOSU.

Let's face it, they despise you guys, but there's no love lost with Nebraska and TexSPN either.

EDIT: Just did a Google search for Nebraska in the News...this is what came up:

fart in the wind brah

For those keeping track at home, ESPN.com has finally taken down the Atlanta Braves article and changed the front page to reflect the real important story of the day. Eli Manning thinks he's as good as Tom Brady.

When something occurs between a New York professional sports franchise and a Boston professional sports franchise, the WorldWide Leader is there with 24/7 coverage.

"All players will remain active in the program for now"

How much longer will that last?

until compliance finishes interviewing each of the named kids and tells Golden that if he knowingly plays ineligible players he'll be watching the cleveland browns practice with JT and LLLLLLoyd.

Mark Emmert says the NCAA has been investigating this for five months:

NCAA President Mark Emmert responds to Miami allegations

If the assertions are true, the alleged conduct at the University of Miami is an illustration of the need for serious and fundamental change in many critical aspects of college sports. This pertains especially to the involvement of boosters and agents with student-athletes. While many are hearing about this case for the first time, the NCAA has been investigating the matter for five months. The serious threats to the integrity of college sports are one of the key reasons why I called together more than 50 presidents and chancellors last week to drive substantive changes to Division I intercollegiate athletics.
