Miami (FL) Hurricanes (1926-2003)

Golden and the "U" are trying a little camo on who will play. But it's easy to read between the lines of a similar to UNC situation where guys will sit for half a season and some will lose the whole season. That defense will be gutted!

Jacory thinks it is a no brainer that he will be cleared:

I wonder what he bases that on.

Jacory Harris has shown such great decision making skills and sound logic during his college career. Why shouldn't we believe him?

By the by, the fact that it took the NCAA less than 24 hours to clear Cam Newton and they have given no indication as to when the verdict will come down for the Miami suspended players should do very little to inspire confidence.

You can't really take too much stock into what Harris says anyways. I mean, it's not like he's the best decision maker anyways....

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Miami quarterback Jacory Harris and the 12th-ranked Hurricanes came into their showdown with No. 2 Ohio State confident and comfortable. Four interceptions later, they were deflated and defeated.

So you're saying he's not likely a Wonderlick prodigy?

True...tho the pressures to let Cam play are significantly different than those pushing the NCAA to find a loop hole for Jacory.

No heisman campaign, no high profile bowl game, no top ranking....and Cam's situation didn't come with significant additional baggage like Jacory.

Meh that's what I get for letting Cam proofread my work.

Don't worry, he had some company with his low Wonderlic (he scored a 21, btw):

This is true. Also, had the documented phone call by Cam's dad been to Auburn - instead of Mississippi St. - it should have been a different result. But absent any proof that Auburn had been approached or agreed to pay him for his son's signing, there is nothing I've seen the NCAA had to question his eligibility to play for Auburn ( BB73 thinks the SEC Commish has that power - see discussions) at that time.

Aaron Rodgers is smarter than anyone else in the NFL

While an average football player usually scores around 20 points, Wonderlic, Inc. claims a score of at least 10 points suggests a person is literate.

Literate....that means that Chris Leak and Vince Young (who got a six his first time taking the test) had to learn to read first.....
