Just looking forward to a good game. On paper Ohio State should win, but the great thing about college football is you never know.

Bucks' weaknesses? Possibly special teams. Linebacker speed is fine, especially if we are counting # 26 as an LB of sorts.

I think early on, Nathan Williams and John Simon will have success, later when others are worn down, Larimore and Heyward will be crushing them in the 3d and 4th quarters.

Would love to see some more Hankins highlights. Best not play him too much --- I fear he is too heavy ---but for 8 or 10 disruptive plays a game, he is going to be great to watch.

On offense? Since I believe common logic still says that to beat the Buckeyes you have to take away the run game, I think it will be an air attack, until we (hopefully) get a commanding lead. At this point, the O Line is the weakest part of our offense; that's why I was glad to see our coaches rolling inthe #2 line last week against Marshall. I think it wears down a defense to have fresh guys come in with that nothing-to-lose energy and go beserk for a series or two, while the ones are resting up on the sidelines.

My predicition: tOSU 34, Miami 19.

Go Bucks!

First post on BP for me. Great site and forum. Lots of great information, job well done BP overseers.

I personally think as fans we may be a tad overconfident going in here. I hope our Bucks are not. I for one am concerned about the offensive line (tackles) and also our ability to pressure Harris. From what I've seen from Harris when he is on he's superman but when he's off it's ugly. Let's hope we get ugly.
We have also lost some marquee matchups at the 'Shoe (Texas and that terrible night against USC)....I don't think our home field advantage and crowd may be as big a factor as we think it is for Miami.
I'm nervous. Miami will be seriously jacked up for this game. I looking forward to seeing the 'Bucks intensity level.

... but again have questions about your LB's in coverage...

OSU is in the Nickel for 80% of the game and uses 2 backers.

Tyler Moeller is the nickel back and is good in coverage and run support. With him on the field we gain in coverage skills over Andrew Sweat without losing too much in run support.

Brian Rolle is small for a Mike at 215 lbs but he is good in coverage. He had a pick 6 last week. A Pick with a huge return agains IL last year. As well as a pick and 97 yard return for a 2 point conversion last year.

Homan got beat by Joe McNight a couple times last year but who didn't. He had 5 picks last year...so I am more than happy with our LB's in coverage.

How big of a loss for the Canes if Cooper can't play?

A few additions to Manny's notes, from a short chat with Randy Shannon this morning:

Do you expect Graig Cooper to be involved in this week's game? Shannon's reply: "He didn't practice. I don't think so.''

From watching replays on TV, Cooper was hurt when he was knocked out of bounds. It looked like defender's helmet got him near the knee. But he bounced right back up after that. Some reports have him with an ankle injury.

The majority of our fans are always overconfident because they're spoiled. We're all spoiled from success. I think we're a better team, so I think we're going to win. That's what it boils down to.

I thought the USC and Texas teams were more even with us, I think we're clearly the better team this time around. Not trying to sound arrogant, I just see us as one of a handful of elite teams this year. I don't see Miami that way. That doesn't mean they can't win, because a team as talented as Miami can beat anyone if they bring their A game.
