how is the weather looking? Will rain/t-storms affect the US chances?

From the looks of the radar, most of the bad stuff is already halfway from Crew Stadium to my house (NE of C'bus). The next wave looks like it's just light rain, and it appears about a half hour away.

I have no idea how this affects soccer.

They'll only postpone/cancel games due to lightning. Similar to how baseball deals with it.

That said, this game will go on as planned. It will affect both teams pretty equally, though the cold with the wind and the rain should affect the Mexicans more than it will the Americans.

Not sure if it helps the US or Mexico, but it'll be interesting either way. A small patch of thunderstorms is rolling up 71 at 70 mph right now, just hitting south Columbus at this time. After that, shouldn't be any more rain until about 10 tonight. Windy throughout the game.

Winds are going to be gusty as fuck at some point tonight. This storm had gusts into the 60-70mph range down in Kentucky. I'm not sure when that's going to kick up, though. Maybe with the later rain cell rolls through after the game.
