I'm a recruiting nerd, I'll be the first to admit it........hopefully (finger's crossed) he's laying low b/c he won't be announcing for the home-state school.

that's kinda what I mean, I think he's still making his mind up, but at the same time, he doesn't seem to be giving out much info on this thought process

All this talk of Maryland is interesting but before Urban got to town, Florida was thought to be the school for him so it seems like it would come down to either tOSU or Florida.

That's true. Hopefully he realizes that Florida under Muschamp won't be the same as the Florida he always wanted to play at, under Meyer. The shotgun and spread elements so conducive to his talents won't be there anymore, and instead will be here at Ohio State. :oh:

Though it seems UF built the relationship early on and had been the leaders, Diggs doesn't seem to put too much stock into that (Maryland added late in the game, OSU jumps right into it with a late visit). The early relationship may prevail, but I wouldn't be surprised if he picked any of OSU, MD, or UF. As to Maryland, they haven't had terrible results producing pass catchers (Vernon Davis, Heyward-Bey) but I do think with his skill set, his abilities would be best showcased by UFM's utilization of Diggs in the Harvin role.

So, Florida supposedly has had this long relationship with Stefon. However, Urban started recruiting him back when he recruited LB Jelani Jenkins. So, really, was it Florida or Urban that actually had the long relationship with him.

Not to mention, we are a 6-7 hour drive from MD, whereas FL and Auburn as twice that. We have the younger, more potential QB star that he can grow with. Better talent to surround him, and no TRUE playmaker or anybody really with his talents on the roster, so he plays Day 1 - more likely starts Day 1. With his kind of talent, he is the big man on campus no matter where he goes.

It all would seem to point to us.

I'd say you probably have something with the first part, that his relationship with Florida probably started when Meyer was still there. And I'd also agree with your last part, about there being fewer apparent playmakers in our offense right now, so he'd have a better chance of stepping right in and playing.
But the 6-7 hour drive... at that distance, a flight is more likely, and once you're in an airport, Columbus/Gainesville doesn't really make a difference. And the younger, more potential QB star... Miller and Driskel were both 5* recruits, and are both entering their sophmore years. Way too soon to say who is going to end up being the better guy at this point.

Agree with the rest of this but Muschamp + Co. have recruited him for about a year, whereas UFM just got back in the game and with a university Diggs was/is fairly unfamiliar with.
