I was always tired of the injins getting all the praise for being brave and fierce. I like "The Fighting Rednecks" to honor our white trash breathren. Besides, it's kind of like the Wisconson version of Notre Dame.


How about the Jacque's after Father Jacques Marquette?

They should just $ell out and have companies purchase the right to sponsor their mascot for a few years.

This could give them names like

Marquette Etrades
Marquette UPS
Marquette Value City
Marquette Dairy Queens

Heard part of a great ad a few days ago...

"Come to our Fuchsia Sale!"

"Fuchsia Sale? What was wrong with calling it a Memorial Day Sale?"

"We just felt it was a new era and a time for a change."

"What does Fuchsia have to do with selling furniture?"

"Nothing. Why do you ask?"

"Did you consult the public before making this decision?"

"Yes, and then we chose to ignore those polls."

Pretty good stuff. If I remembered what the ad was actually for, I might have checked it out. :p
