Mark Sanchez (Philadelphia Eagles)

Well, it's good to see he's in good spirits, I didn't believe he was injured at all. I hate to say this, and it may sound screwed up, but I don't believe anything out of the USC camp, Petey just has a weird sense of humor. Now, beyond that, this is a win/lose situation for me, I loved watching Sanchez in High School, he's right up the street from here, Mission Viejo is about 5 miles from Irvine where we work and we would have regular events where some of the guys would grab us football fans and go watch this kid, he was amazing, there's no other way to describe it, saying "a boy amongst men" doesn't even begin to define how great this kid was. I want him to do well, I want him to be a great nfl player and I think Booty playing was a dumb idea talentwise, however, I hate the fact that I am going to go root against this kid I rooted for, because he's playing the team who's colors bleed from me.

Good luck Mark, hope you only lose one game at home in September against an Ohio team next year.

He should be good to go for the OSU game

Looking at the quotes from Sanchez and Carroll (assuming no spin or subterfuge) as well as Googling the stated injury, I would say he will be good to go for the OSU game.

This will impact his preparation at a critical practice time for the offense however. In addition, dislocations can recur. I am hoping for full strength for both teams on Sept 13th.

I think Mark's quotes from tonight's press conference demonstrate that the missed practice time won't be a big deal:

On what missing a week or more in fall camp may mean for the season

Sanchez: If I can't practice, I can't practice. It is as simple as that. It ain't about that at all. It's easy to sum it up if you're just talking about practice. We're sitting here, and I'm supposed to be the franchise player, and we're talking about practice. I mean listen, we're sitting here talking about practice, not a game, not a game, not a game, but we're talking about practice. Not the game that I go out there and die for and play every game last it's my last but we're talking about practice man. How silly is that?

On whether his absence will negatively affect the development of other offensive players

Sanchez: How in the hell can I make my teammates better by practicing?

I never dislocated a knee, but I pulled my groin doing that warmup before a baseball game.. glad I'm not the only one to get hurt doing it

When I was younger, I pulled my groin also. Like a dislocated kneecap, it's something that recurred frequently.
