Mark May (Blew 5 guys at Pitt)

he predicted a sec sweep over the big10 in the three bowl games, and said the sec has proven it has much faster players than the big 10. (thats a paraphrase)

To which he added this clever caveat: "Now, they may not because SEC teams tend to blow off bowl games..."

If the SEC sweeps it's because they're better, if they lose it's because the game doesn't matter to them. How convenient. Either way, May has covered his own ass.

I think you're being a little bit unfair on those two picks. Especially the West Virginia - Pitt game. Did ANYONE get that one right? And I'm not talking about BB73's upset pick-em game, because I, like a lot of people, just picked Pitt because I needed a lot of points.

can't wait for LeSean Mccoy to rip off a 175 yard game

Wanny shouldn't even consider throwing the ball....just feed it to your rb's all game...WVU cannot stop the run. I'm being semi-serious here, they should really just go power formations the entire game, control the clock as much as they can, and pound it out

UCONN gave up on the run way too early even though the averaged close to 8 ypc through 2.5 quarters.

came as close to calling it as possible without actually calling it

To start the list:

in 07:

scUM over OSU wrong
LSU over Arkansas wrong
WV over Pitt wrong
Fresno over Hawaii wrong
Boise over Hawaii wrong
USF over Rutgers wrong

before 07:

Trev ALberts said we'd lose 44-3 to the mighty Hurricanes, and Mark May said, "it would be worse than that."

I think we should just let 'em talk. It's getting more like 2002 by the minute.

This is my biggest problem with OSU/Big 10 bashers. OSU loses to Florida and "there is no doubt the SEC is a way better conference"

Say OSU beats LSU 42-7, the entire game would be labeled as a fluke or that LSU just had a bad game...or some other pansy excuse. I am getting angry just writing this...so I'll stop now :mad2:

Buckin' A said that week that both Mizzou and W. Va. would lose.

Bowl Mania:

LSU has too much speed for our defense. He cited: Holliday, Doucet, Perriloux-ser, and Matt Flynn's running ability; Ohio State's loss to spread offense teams (Illinois and Florida).

His 'confidence' level (on a backwards scale) was 30/32.

Yes, that means that of the 32 bowls, he is 3rd most certain that Ohio State will lose.

HAHA, yeah I heard that too.... I let out a big F%$& You to him as well :) Does LSU even run the spread? Also, how good is Perriloux as a runner anyways? Every time I see him it is a run/sneak up the middle. It doesn't seem like we should have to worry about the run all that much when he's in the game.

He also just said the Wisky was going to lose to Tennecheat because it is the SEC vs the Big 10... but, does he forget last year? Wiscy beat the almighty Razorbacks and Darren McFadden... but Ed Cunningham took Wisky, so I like him. And the beat goes on....

What I loved is how he cited their defense as the key to the game even though ours is statistically superior in almost every category. Palmer and Cunningham sounded intelligent in comparison.

I'm now dumber for having listened to that, unfortunately.

sort of

He isn't Mike Vick but he can hurt you if you don't account for him.

I saw this too and I think it's a stretch to pick an upset as your 3rd most confident bowl winner. Mark has been behind us most of the year and I appreciate that but we're taking on the #1 team in the country, I don't see how anyone should expect us to win with that level of certainty.
