LSU Tigers (official thread)

Yes; but colleges, conferences, and/or the NCAA frequently does things that don't made sense.....

A regular season Alabama vs Georgia game every year would be a TV ratings bonanza for the conference...:cash:

would just change from the LSU/Alabama game rating every year.

So, I read that dumbest human stuff to mean Jimbo is taking the LSU job.

would be very difficult to take that title from
the guy he would be replacing.

The Game is an ACTUAL rivalry and the entire nation knows. My examples are games that no one outside of those fanbases pays attention to

sometimes i wish we had one true big rival like this.

other times, i’m glad we don’t and that it ebbs and flows as the game changes.

with that said, we have 3 (and a half?) annual games i want protected when the inevitable scheduling change comes.

give me Bama, Florida, and Auburn every year.

would love to keep A&M and the two Mississippi schools for nostalgic reasons, but the first three are more important to me.

I grew up with a high school rivalry that started in 1905 and always plays the last game of the season, a college rivalry since 1918 that also finishes every season, and in the NFL, the oldest AFC rivalry, Browns v Steelers.
Football season has always had a hero and a villain for me at every level. I consider myself very very blessed.

we had a baseball rival growing up.

then i transferred High Schools after my freshman year and had to learn to hate someone else.

but i still learned it.

last week of season was hate week.

and those assholes deserved every ounce of pain we gave them.

That's a interesting conundrum. I've met my fair share of LSU fans over the years, and the rivals seem to change based on where I was, and where those people lived. When I was in Memphis, people hated Ole Miss. When I lived in TX, those fans hated Bama, and then shifted to also a hatred of aTm.

Well you will have OU and Texass to supplant Bama and Auburn moving over to the East division.

yeah that kind of hate doesn’t just pop up because the new kid moves into town.

I would bet on OU and LSU being the two main competitors for the West division each year after they move Bama and Auburn over to the East. Texass is in turmoil right now and A&M is about to lose Jimbo.

You guys can build off of the 2004 Sugar Bowl and 2019 Peach Bowl.

It's easy to spread hate, especially with the Internet!
