Lincoln Riley LSU Flight Rumor Debunked by Oklahoma Analyst

I wouldn't mind LincoLn "0-1 vs Kirby" riLey at LLLLL5U.

Should we trust Texas A&M football HC Jimbo Fisher’s rejection of the LSU job?
Thankfully for Aggie fans, as quickly as rumors arose, Jimbo Fisher shut them down. The Aggie head coach explained that he was happy in College Station and didn’t want to coach any other team. Here’s how he said it.
“I love being here. This is the job I want. I love being here. I have an unbelievable chancellor, an unbelievable president, an unbelievable AD. I believe in what we’re building here.”

As Tucker builds on his success in East Lansing, he’s simultaneously building a resume of intrigue in Baton Rouge. Scott Rabalais, a local columnist for The Advocate, appeared on The Paul Finebaum Show Thursday (11 Nov 2021) and said LSU’s top three candidates are Jimbo Fisher, Lincoln Riley and Tucker.

Jimbo says leaving he's not Texas A&M; so now they are down to Mel Tucker.....:cash:

Oh I know. He's scared that OU might be in the same Pod as UGA so he'll run to LSU which likely will not be in the same Pod as Georgia.

Are you sure that the SEC is going to a pod system?

From what I understand they would still have 2 divisions and it just doesn't make sense to not play everyone in your division each year. What makes more sense is to play everyone in your division and 2 (rotating 2 different teams each year over a 4 year cycle) teams for the other division; which would be a 9 game conference schedule.

no matter what they do it’s going to suck.

they will do everything they can to preserve Bama/Tenn and Auburn/UGA.

which most likely means those 2 teams go to East and we do away with permanent cross division games.

if that happens, then LSU no longer plays annual games vs Bama, Auburn, and Florida.

you know, all the good games on our schedule.

But you would get OU and Texas...8D

I have no clue what they're going to do. I was just grasping for straws to find a point of attack for my shit talk.

Mel Tucker, Michigan State reportedly close to contract extension

When Plans A, B, and C go sideways, there's always PLAN D:

Mark Stoops among betting favorites to replace Ed Orgeron at LSU

Yeah, I'm not surprised that Tucker is leveraging the USC/LSU jobs for a hefty pay increase/extension. Mark Stoops would probably be a good hire for LSU. If they could get him, Bob Stoops (even though he's 61) may be an even better one.

I think Aranda is the smart choice for LSU. Doesn’t mean I hope they do that.
