LSU Tigers (official thread)

Didn't say it would be turned into the 2019 LSU offense literally, but it would be comparable. Probably something like Bama's 2020 offense with Pickens as the deep threat that D. Smith was last year.

Glad you didn't mean "literally" because even "figuratively" is a big stretch. I guess it "is" comparable, but it certainly isn't "favorable".

I'm happy for you that Georgia is having a good season, but outside of rushing yards per game, Georgia isn't in this discussion.

OK, back to your regularly scheduled pissing match with other SEC fans.

Good stats. However, those Georgia stats are with the walk-on playing at qb, instead of the 5 star pre-season Heisman favorite, and all the 5 stars on offense on the IR.

If LSU was missing Joe Burrow, or if Bama was missing Mac Jones and D. Smith, those numbers would be closer.

If Georgia played the same SOS their numbers would be much worse ... and they already don't compare. See, easy!

OK, just to be fair, maybe I'm misunderstanding your argument. Which QB exactly did you want running your offense?

Eyebrows up there has played in a good handful of Georgia's games. So I don't know why you're acting like he's Andrew Luck or what Michigan fans thought every one of their QBs was going to be.....he's been on the field a bunch.

You know ...the first WR to win a Heisman in forever. We've got that just chilling on IR because we're Georgia and we're that good.

*fart noise*
it's a pretty widely held view that Georgia tends to be stacked with monsters on offense but their woeful scheme and Jim harbaugh esque development and scheme holds them back severely.

That said, they do not resemble the greatest offense in the history of the game, nor some of the most ridiculously stacked receiving corps in history like what Alabama has had the past few years. Not to be confused with a shockingly terrible depth chart they have this year, which needed Ohio State to gift them a second receiver.

Injuries. Wait til he gets healthy.

Georgia's skill position and linemen on offense are STACKED to the roof.

Now Kirby is STACKING the qb room.

This year we have 2 5 STAR qbs (JT Daniels and Brock Vandergriff) with Gunner Stockton (5 STAR per Rivals) coming in next year.

Georgia is a heavy favorite to land Arch Manning in 2023, and JT is likely to come back next year to up his NFL Draft status since he missed too many games due to injuries this year.

That said, when it's all said and done, Georgia has the potential to have 3 5 STAR QB's on their roster for the next 2 years, at least.

STACKED!

When you stop trotting out vegetable lasagna, then we'll start tracking quality QB play. After which point we'll see if you can replace a hypothetically great season for a future QB with a new guy. It's possible but almost no one can.

OSU and Bama are about the only ones who have. Look at Clemson.

OSU essentially has that now. Two of the three would be painful at the moment. The third is heavily criticized because he's merely a top ten OSU quarterback all time and not top 2.

I agree. tOSU has the best qb room right now. OU's is overrated, and Rattler is a loser. That Caleb kid seems like he can play.

Brock Vandergriff is a 5 STAR on UGA but really raw and young. Maybe comparable to Ewers, but Ewers is more highly touted.

Also, for UGA to hit that level, we need JT to come back and to get Arch. I'm thinking unless JT gets healthy and leads UGA to the title this year, instead of Steston doing it, then he'll come back next year.

Arch Manning is the other piece to that puzzle. The rumors say he'll pick either UGA or Texass. And unless he likes stripper monkeys, I don't see why he'd pick Texass.
