that is only because the SEC Network does not televise Mountain Men:wink: or people would stay home and watch that.

sometimes it's tough not to be one of "those fans".

you know the kind where nothing is good enough.

I saw this program go from being THE college baseball program in the country (and it wasn't close).
To being left out of the dance with Fat Fuck Smoke Laval.

Now Mainieri has LSU reaching ridiculous regular season levels. We're seeing win/loss records that are absolutely amazing year end and year out.
it's fun and exciting baseball.

but lately, we've lost our edge.
nobody fears LSU on the baseball field anymore. not even at The Box.

gone are the days when you just KNEW somebody was going to get the big hit in crunch time. you just had to guess who was going to be the hero that particular day.

Down 3 in the 8th against a top 5 team's ace?
no problem. we always felt like we would come back. and more often than not, we did.


now?
not so much.

yeah we can still pulverize teams. and we typically have 1 legit ace (freaking Alex Lange is unreal).

but I don't see that spirit we once had where we was never out of a game.
now, I'm hopeful somebody can buy a hit instead of sure that somebody was going to do it.
