LSU Tiger Baseball 2015

lost 2 out of 3 to freaking Kentucky.
at The Box.

I'm fairly confident we're leading the country in number of inside the park homers we've been involved in.

there has been 3 in our last 4 games.

Mark Laird hit one mid-week against those pricks down river. Not too surprising because he's possibly the fastest guy in the SEC.

Chris Chinea hit one Saturday night. nobody saw that coming because, well he was not blessed with SEC speed. He got lucky in that the KY outfielder didn't know the ground rules.

yesterday some dud for KY hit one to tie the game in the 9th

Louisiana State continues their fine season. After losing 2 of 3 to SEC rival Kentucky (both in extra innings) the Tigers have reeled off 6 straight wins. Victories over in-state foes UL-Lafayette and New Orleans U. sandwiched a sweep of Alabama. LSU is now 29-5 but a disappointing 8-4 in the SEC. They are currently ranked 3rd in the most recent poll.

took 2 outta 3 from auburn this weekend.

for the most part team is solid.
but for some reason the whole team seems to be "off" at the same time some nights.

I need to take my kids to a game so they can see Bregman play in person one more time. Dude is unreal defensively at short, and always seems to hit it squarely at the plate.

as LSU fans we've been really fortunate to see some special players pass through Baton Rouge, and he's the most recent on the list.

on a side note, former Tiger great Mikie Mahtook just got called up by the Rays (one night before I had tickets to go see him play AAA game outside Atlanta). My youngest son was pissed! That was his favorite player for 3 years here, and he has worn #8 every year in lil league since he was 5 because of Mikie.

You'll have to be more specific. Lol

maybe this will help.
there are any 2 schools in Louisiana that I truly despise.
the rest I have absolutely zero emotional investment.

best way to describe the two I hate:
one plays in Lafayette and has the worst case of penis envy ever witnessed by mankind.
they honestly believe that by changing their name they will immediately be on the same level as other schools simply known by the name of the state they're in (like Bama, Florida, Texas).
they also think the state is intentionally holding them back by giving LSU all of the tax money ever taken in by Louisiana.
they still believe that even though readily available public information shows that not only does LSU not take in a single penny of tax money or tuition for it athletics programs, but they actually donate millions every year from athletics over to academics.

the other school I hate is a small private school in New Orleans that thinks they're Ivy League because a ton of people from the north east attend school there.
they suck at everything they've ever attempted to do, but yet somehow still feel like they're better than everyone else at everything.

looking like tomorrow's game against Alcorn St is still on (weather permitting).

The Box took a beating today.
both foul poles were knocked down. the right field pole hit the indoor batting facility that it broke a small chunk out of the concrete.
Trees along the main highway leading to the box dropped large limbs and a couple trees didn't make it.

only pics I've seen so far are of the poles from the field.
left field pole fell into the outfield. right field pole bounced off the batting facility and landed in the playground behind the bleachers.
