Lou Holtz (Official Thread)

At the expense of facial fractures, lacerations and broken noses.

You've got a point, with no facemask it would greatly deter you from leading with a helmet or applying a hit with your head and leading to concussions and neck injuries, but wouldn't protect your face from added blows. I'm only guessing what Ditka and others are saying here though, maybe theres another reason they're coming to this conclusion. Of course, this wouldn't prevent punches and knees to the face.

You never see some fat guy at the grocery store blow out his ACL wheeling around to pick up a bag of Oreos. Kids today make one cut and crumple like thoroughbreds.

Wait, are you saying that the solution is to have all the players ride around in Rascals?

Gameday Final was great. Not only did Lou get to stick to Mark May again with a teaser to May wearing the leprechaun suit, but in the Final Verdict Lou made a case for Braxton Miller being a Heisman frontrunner and won the verdict. He then went on to sing "Across the Field" as May walked off the set

I bout lost it when Holtz started singing. :slappy:

You know, of all three of those jackwipes, the one I'd be most inclined to listen to is Holtz. The man DID win a national championship as a head coach.

Mark May rose to a new level of stupidity in that 'argument'.

Disqualify Braxton Miller....the kid who is almost 70% of the offense for an undefeated team....just because his team is on probation for a number of people that aren't even there anymore?!?

Freaking ass wipe. He's just pissed cause his team LOST to Holtz' team earlier this year.

Holtz: "Do you even watch the games, Mark?!?"

Good question.

Holtz has a permanent fan right here. I won't always agree with him, but his trolling of Mark May is epic

I don't get why May actually gets visibly upset and appears to take things personally.

Dude you're getting paid good money for nothing other than being a clown. What in the world do you have to get so angry about?

It's the Mike Tenay effect - he's paid to be a clown and a mouthpiece, but he takes it too seriously. So when someone trolls him and makes him look like a fool, he gets pissed off.

Holtz breaking out his inner Tibor was hilarious
