He never came off as a hater to me. Sure, he's a shameless domer homer, but I never got Mark May/Trev type hate towards Ohio State. Perhaps with advanced age, he's become more bitter about Woody shitcanning him in a hotel lobby when he got wind that Lou wasn't exactly above board in recruiting.

Since he left ESPN, I can think of 3 times I heard of him or from him: once before the 2023 matchup between Ohio State and Notre Dame, once before the national championship game in 2024, and.... now. And I don't even remember what he said recently. Did he come out in favor of Doritos ketchup-flavored chips?

Lou Holtz was an assistant coach for the Ohio State Buckeyes football team in 1968, when the team won the national championship. Holtz was part of Woody Hayes' coaching staff.

From 2005 to 2014 Lou Holtz worked at ESPN a College Football Show with Trev Alberts and Mark May (who both hated Ohio State with a passion), Lou usually stuck up for Ohio State.
