Losing Early, Now What Needs to Happen - 2010 Chaos Theory

So the new BCS is out and we're .054 behind Wisconsin. Here's what is true as of now:

Human Component
-Stanford & LSU are ahead of us but below Wisconsin in the Harris Poll. If both of those teams lose, we gain on Wisconsin without Wisconsin moving up.
-LSU is also ahead of us but below Wisconsin in the Coaches Poll. Again, them losing helps us and does nothing for Wisconsin. Thanks alot, Ol Miss.

Computer Component
-We are ahead of Wisconsin in the following Computer Polls: A&H, CM, PW. We are behind Wisconsin in the following Computer Polls: RB, KM, JS. The highest and lowest polls are thrown out, so A&H and KM are out. We need to gain on RB and JS.
-RB has Stanford and Oklahoma St between us and Wisconsin. These teams losing would help us and do nothing for Wisconsin.
-JS has Oklahoma St between us and Wisconsin.

Cliff's Notes
- Root against LSU, Stanford, and Oklahoma State (root for Arkansas, Oregon St, Oklahoma).

- FUCK M*CH*G*N!!!

somebody feel free to correct any errors

That looks pretty accurate except for one thing...You forgot what week it is!!!

1. BCS NC game is Oregon v. Auburn

2. Buckeyes clinch a spot in the Sugar Bowl, getting LSU as its opponent.

3. Wisconsin plays in the Rose Bowl against Stanford.

4. Boise and TCU play in other two BCS games, TCU against Nebraska and Boise against Pitt.

5. Auburn puts a serious beat-down on Oregon, winning 48-10 on a transcendent performance by Cam Newton.

6. Stanford beats Wisconsin 7-6 in a game in which both teams look like dogmeat.

7. Boise and TCU both lose in games that embarrassingly are not even close.

8. Buckeyes stomp LSU 38-14.

9. January 15 (or later) Cam Newton is declared ineligible by the NCAA for the 2010 season. Auburn's victory, and its NC, are vacated.

10. There is no BCS champion; vacated losses are not accompanied by awarded victories to the other team.

11. Only meaningful NCs are AP and ESPN - tOSU, ranked #2 to Auburn in final polls, is acknowledged by both entities following Auburn's disqualification as NC team as a consequence.

Me like...a lot

Great post, except Boise/TCU have to be selected for the Rose if the PAC10/B10 champ is taken for the NC. So, unless Boise/TCU loses, Wiscuntsin will have to play one of them. Otherwise, great fucking post man. Love it.

Another excellent post. More B10 Champ related, but still, excellent stuff.

Some of you seem to be forgetting that the Rose has 4 years to fulfill the non-AQ nonsense rule (or maybe just assuming they'll do it this year to get it over with).
Rose MUST select them this year. The only way that TCU or Boise doesn't end up in the Rose Bowl is if Oregon loses (meaning the Rose Bowl is Big Ten #1 vs. Pac Ten #1) or if TCU or Boise make the BCS Championship game....if that is the case, and they are playing Oregon, then the Rose Bowl could take whomever it wanted to play the Big Ten #1...and I'd assume this year that would be Stanford.

I like this a whole bunch. But, the word "stomp" wouldn't really be appropriate, would it? I mean, our 38-24 loss to LSU was considered a complete stomping/ass-whooping/embarassment. So by these standards, a 38-14 game would have to be considered... well, the word probably isn't made up yet.

Actually, the media would probably claim it to be a very tightly played contest in which the Bucks got some lucky TD's to pull away by 24 in the end. Fuck the SEC.

By the end of the 24 unanswered LSU points, it pretty much felt like a stomping in the Dome. Maybe it came off differently on TV.

Beanie's 3rd quarter run and stiff arm was typically awesome, but the game felt over by the 3rd quarter. The late 4th quarter Buck score looks better on the stats three years later, but it did little to "even" up the game while is was occurring.....IMO

if I recall correctly (and I was there, so it's very likely that I don't) the late OSU score only "evened" the late LSU score. if LSU was smart ( ) they would have just sat on it and neither team would've scored.

I don't understand why you'd want Penn State to beat MSU. As soon as MSU loses, Wisconsin gets the Rose Bowl berth.
