The Iowa/Minnesota debacle really killed Wisky and OSU in the rankings. The Iowa win was a big win for OSU and Wisky...then they go shat the bed leaving the voters with the idea that the big ten is terrible and OSU and Wisky didn't play anybody.
Agreed. Iowa really fucked tOSU/Wisconsin with there late season meltdown. The problem I have is Stanford has played nobody too and the Pac10 is worse than the Big10 but, they are leap frogging people and could be in the MNC discussion if shit goes chaotic this weekend. It's BULLSHIT.
Stanford schedule last 6 games faced
ONE school with a record above .500:
vs Wash St (2-9)
@ Wash (5-6)
vs Ariz (7-4)
@ Az St (5-6)
@ Cal (5-7)
vs Or St (5-6)
That's a combined 29-38 (.433)
Wisconsin schedule last 6 games faced
FOUR schools with a record above .500:
vs tOSU (11-1)
@ Iowa (7-5)
@ Purdue (4-8)
vs IU (5-7)
@ UM (7-5)
vs NW (7-5)
Combined records 42-31 (.575)
tOSU schedule last 6 games faced
FOUR schools with a record above .500:
@ Wisc (11-1)
vs Purdue (4-8)
@ Minne (3-9)
vs PSU (7-5)
@ Iowa (7-5)
vs UM (7-5)
Combined records 40-33 (.548)
The Pac10
right now has 3 bowl eligible teams (4 w/USC @7-5 but, well...yeah) So how is it that voters think Stanford is soooooo much better than Wisc/tOSU? It's not like Wiscy hasn't been running up the score and tOSU has won it's last four games by a combined score 196-48.
I'd take the Buckeyes against any team in the country. There's really not one dominate team right now but it seems Stanford is one team that has received alot of voter love for playing a pretty soft schedule.
