Looking Ahead To The Combine......2007

David patterson at 285 ...ran a 5.07 and did 21 reps...disappointing
Quinn Pitcock 299lbs didn't work out

What's the scoop on Pitcock not working out? I haven't been able to watch the combine too much today and now they're just showing crappy interviews. Did he get hurt?
On Patterson, his numbers weren't great, but I thought he did alright in the drills. They mentioned a couple times that he had good movement. I thought he did alright for where he was already projected.

I don't get it either. I don't think he worked out, but I don't know why. In his Feb. 20 entry on his draft blog on cfn, he implies that he's going to work out at the combine.

I am completely fine with some team taking Stanton ahead of Troy. Just like Young last year, you can't teach poise and leadership. Few scouts thought Young was going to be this good (personally I thought he would do well) and I think Troy is the same kind of player.

Heck, I think Troy might even be better than Quinn. Sure Troy may be more like Drew Breese and less like a Montana or Marino but I think he has more of the innate skills to be a good NFL QB.

I think, even with the scarlet shades on, most people here aren't complaining about Troy being behind Stanton -- but rather the idea that guys like Kolb and Edwards are better than Troy and he's not in any of the media's top 5 right now.

Posluzsny posted a slow 40 time? I'm really surprised to hear that. :roll2:

Had he not gotten injured, dude should have gone last year. I thought he was mediocre this year and of course you are going to get a lot of tackles when your defense is on the field for 40 mins of every game.

Well none of this really matters until the draft day. If he gets drafted in the latter part of the first round I think that will be the best situation. I just hope he doesn't drop much further (for his sake if nothing else).

I haven't seen a draft site who thinks he can sniff the first.
