Look Who's Transferring Now (The Portal)

I’m not understanding these transfers. Lost Bogpen Miller?

Why are these kids transferring? They’ve all done basically nothing.

I don’t get it
I’d assume for playing time elsewhere. They see who is in front of them, and who is coming behind as well. My guess is Bogpen realizes his opportunity at OSU is pretty small. Also, in the last you had some guys willing to wait their turn bc the development in the room was worth it. Without Hartline, the ability to stay patient and wait your turn is likely not there.

He came in a project. Maybe transfer to USF to get developed with Hartline.

From what i see there is dissention in the locker room, theres too many leaving from the norm. Something is going and i dont think it's doing us any good.
What's going is players are getting paid a lot of money to switch teams. And the costs are increasing every season. 1/3 of all FBS players are in the portal. And there are guys who are sitting on the 2nd or 3rd string getting paid nothing who are seeing the Buckeyes bringing in big recruits at their position or sniffing around the portal. And they can either sit and potentially lose their spot and make nothing, or go somewhere else to get guaranteed playing time and guaranteed pay.

This is why there's more parity than before too. You have a better chance at getting paid in college and getting drafted to the NFL as a starter at a G5 program than you do sitting on the bench for the Buckeyes.
