Look Who's Transferring Now (The Portal)

So if I read all of that right, just this morning we’ve learned of two players who transferred in to Louisville, stayed for spring practice and then bolted

I’m sure that, by April 30th, they will not have been the only team this happened to; but you have to wonder about any team with what appears to be a revolving door

Granted that it’s entirely possible that this says more about the kids than about Louisville. But it makes you wonder… and you don’t have to think about it long before you come to the conclusion that this scenario probably says something about the school AND something about the kids AND something about the system

College football is currently a lot like the 14 lesser republics after the fall of the Soviet Union. The previous structure has been stripped away, and it’s been replaced by nothing

Gotta wonder what NFL GMs are thinking... if a player has transferred 2 or more times... what headaches are coming with the pick?
I'm wondering how many of these kids are even NFL level. And maybe they are trying to get any sort of payment now because who knows if there will even be a chance to get an undrafted agreement.

These double transfers are 100% on the (lack of a) system.

I give my grandkids $1,000 when they graduate HS. Most money they have ever seen at one time in their lives.

These kids are looking at 5 and 6 figure offers and the only rule is: "If you commit to a school you must play there - unless you don't want to."

I think 6 figures with most of these transfers is being generous. It's crazy how non transparent these collectives are. Because we would be shocked with how little some of these kids ACTUALLY make, and hence we're seeing some of these transfers(as well as PT for most)
