1st round talent, he was probably going to get a ton of PT for us and probably be our LT in 2025. Heard is a great talent, but doesn’t seem to be a fit with his perspective on things. Kid wanted guarantees on playing time and NIL $ that we would not give him. He also seems to have a complex about Will Campbell because in every conversation it was often brought up “well Will Campbell is making this much,” and, “I was a 5 star too”. Didn’t help that rival teams were actively tampering with him.

Which is the main worry with NIL having no rules. Frosh making more money than current players, what did they expect to happen? I’d be pissed too. I guess it’s up to coaches to silence that jealousy, but it’s still a large looming presence in the locker room

Right, but Wimsatt is still there at QB. I’m not sure I would see Kaliakmanis as an upgrade.

I could see Wimsatt at a number of positions especially TE... he's a big fella
I like him but he's not playing QB in the NFL
