Look Who's Transferring Now (The Portal)

Can someone with some knowledge share their thoughts on him and any fit to OSU?
I was originally upset at this…

But after watching him more- he’s really good.

He’s very mobile, he’s tough and he can throw the ball as well. At 6 foot 5 it’s rare to see someone move this well. Should we upset the room for him? Depends what happens tonight.

hope the rumors are true after watching this first half. It sucks for Devin Brown he is a hell of a kid but seems like he cant stay healthy. W Lincoln a true freshman and Air coming in next year. The leadership and just a seasoned QB coming in will help
Yep. I completely flipped my opinion on it. I was solidly in the "We don't need a portal QB" until last night. But if Devin is hurt as bad as it looked like he his, he's going to have a long recovery time which will set him back going in to next year. Lincoln may have the raw talent but he has a LOOOOONG way to go to be ready, and Noland isn't walking in and starting.

I think the answer is a resounding "yes" at this point.

Upset the room, I repeat, UPSET THE ROOM!

Reminds me of a bigger JT Barrett. Tough as nails, has good intermediate passing, can pull it down and run and get hard yards, and can hit the deep ball and will lead the offense. He can fit into the offense if they run the RPO that I’m sure they had designed for Brown in the Cotton bowl. But if he can just extend plays and keep looking down field, he should have success with the WRs. But all of this is a pipedream unless the OL gets fixed…

Yeah, I thought we were one player away on the office of line. However, after last night, I think it’s more like two or even three.

I am shocked at how bad Donovan Jackson was all year. I have no clue how he got first team big 10. Believe it or not I think that Simmons is our best offense of lineman right now. Who knows really and I don’t want to trash the current players because I have no idea what they are capable of but the real question here is are we getting enough from the office of line coach and right now I would say absolutely not.

Every returning starter on the OL should be in competition. Bring in a few a transfers as well as against the younger players. I agree, that Simmons is arguably the best OL right now, and that ain’t saying much because like the rest, he looked like hot garbage last night, he just had a few more bright spots than the rest.
Competition needs to be brought in at multiple positions through the Portal now, and guys need to get uncomfortable. QB and OL are the main positions that need competition, and that’s painfully obvious. OSU probably wins last night with an actual above average OL
