Hi.. I'm Lllloyd Carr.. I forgot to mention:
1) thanks to the referees for not calling us for delay of game despite the game clock being at 0:00 for well over a second.. we had a key gain on that play by the way.. the game clock was obviously wrong... I'm glad the refs didn't let the TV screen influence a bad call there
2) thanks to the referees for not calling us for a lateral on the play to my wideout.. when the ball skipped along the ground all the way out of bounds... the loss of 5 yards on that down would have really hurt us in that situation.. I'm pretty sure it was the wind that made the ball go behind my receiver.. because Henne and my receiver wouldn't do anything that stupid in a key situation.. plus the referees were looking to make sure no receiver went out of bounds and came back
3) thanks to the referee that made that close interference call .. you know, the second interference call in the end zone... we really needed that to keep that drive alive.. cuz our kicker sucks... and I'm sure the OSU corner couldn't be that good to knock down that pass from behind at the last second
4) thanks to those line judges.. I think they should have looked at the velcro on Hawks jersey... because it kept getting stuck in my linemens hands... but the refs could clearly see they weren't holds.. those aren't penalties... my boys were just playing hard

I just wanted to add these comments... to be like O'Reilley... fair and balanced..
hugs
LLlloyd

Carr is just being a whinny little bitch as always, I think we all saw these excuses coming as he looked up to the scoreboard after the catch. Is anybody really surprised enough to be mad about this? I hope the folks up in Michigan continue to swallow their coaches bullshit, as long as the losses aren't his fault they might as well keep him around (which they will).

P.S. Aren't babies supposed to stop crying when you shake them repeatedly? Guess it doesn't work on Carr.

On if the ineffectiveness running the ball was more a product of injuries up front or the younger back not being ready:
"But I think you cannot look at that game without taking into consideration, for example, that Jake Long played with an injury that he is going to have surgically repaired tomorrow. And Adam Kraus didn't play. And Tim Massaquoi went out...I don't know exactly what stage. And Mike Hart went out. And Jerome Jackson did not play. And yet you still want to be able to run the football more effectively. "

quote]

Hamby goes down and Frost picks him up, Carp goes down and Laurinaitis picks him up. Hart goes down... after not gaining jack shit... and Grady and Bass fail to gain jack shit. Massequoi goes down and they still have Enright, who makes some nice catches for them and the big freshman who drops a ball thrown high and behind him... and IVLoyd knows for sure that it's going to carry it for a game winning first down... Carr needs to take off those Maize and Blue glasses and see the world as it really is. This year's OSU freshmen came through. Michigan's did not. I like the looks of that.

Well, I'm assuming that since Lloyd was on the rules committee until Sept.1, 2005 that he would know the proper interpretation of the rules. The rule
doesn't state that the player has to be 'blocked' out of bounds, it states that "if the receiver voluntarily goes out of bounds, then he is not eligible". Clearly, Gonzo went out as a result of contact with the defender, then immediately came back into the field of play, making him eligible.

Learn the rules you Bozo-assed crybaby.

what his ass should be whining about... is that Smith will be there again next year... so here's to looking like it being another miserable end to the 2006 season Lllloyd... oh.. and Gonzo will be there too... so you can tell him... "hey, last year you were out of bounds"

Speaking of the officials on Gonzo's catch, I wonder why LLLLoyd's not complaining about the lack of a very obvious interference call on that play?

Or the 2 or 3 times earlier in the game when even though the play clock had run out, scUM was not penalized for delay of game?

Or the ridiculous interfenerece call they whistled Everett for earlier in the game, allowing scUM to score a TD instead of having to settle for a FG?

Or the ultra ridiculous excessive celebration penalty they called on Holmes for diving into the end zone that set scUM up in great field position, practically handing the game to them?

Or the no-call on Henne's intentional grounding when Patterson had him "in the grasp", and Henne threw the ball into the ground around the line of scrimmage.

Or the backwards lateral that was ruled an incomplete pass (the play started at scUM's 40 yard line, the ball landed on scUM's 36 yard line and bounced out of bounds)

Or Schlagel's rediculous defensive holding call, when the action was no where NEAR where Schlagel was, yet he gets called for what amounted to a pass interference call (gave them a 1st down instead of the 4th down that was upcoming, which lead to an eventual TD)

Those refs PERSONALLY kept them in the game.
