Tecumseh...pronounced that every President elected in a year that ended in "0" would die.

He was right in a way, because not only have the presidents elected in years ending with zero died - but so has every other president. Along with every other person. The only current presidential survivors are the Bushes and Clinton - and they will eventually die also. Tecumseh must have been very powerful. (Heap big wampum!)
This is an pre-urbanism urban myth - an urban myth before they had urban myths. Tecumseh didn't understand too much about how the presidency worked, nor understand too much about our calender system.

Tecumseh's Curse was first placed on William Henry Harrison who slaughtered the Shawnee at Tippecanoe. Tecumseh, considered a prophet by his people, pronounced that every President elected in a year that ended in "0" would die. Harrison died one month after his election. Since then Lincoln(1860), Garfield(1880), McKinley(1900), Harding(1920), F.D.Roosevelt(1940), J.F.K (1960), have all died in office. Regan broke Tecumseh's curse, although he was shot and came very close.

i bet every president who ever takes office will die.
