Let me ax y'all a question

Here is one guy I would NOT consider:

Jim O?Brien ? The former Ohio State coach was fired in 2004 for providing a $6,000 loan to a recruit five years earlier. Following an investigation, O?Brien was slapped with a five-year ?show-cause? order in 2006 that basically banned him from the sidelines until 2011. O?Brien, though, won an appeal and was relieved when the NCAA lifted all restrictions on future employment. O?Brien, 60, coached at St. Bonaventure and Boston College before a seven-year stint at Ohio State from 1997-2004. The Buckeyes reached the 1999 Final Four under O?Brien and won the Big Ten regular-season title in 2000 and 2002.

In my IMO I'd think that Arkansas needs to look at an up and coming coach from the mid major level. It's not a final destination at this time for a top tier coach and the SEC is not a powerful basketball conference currently. I don't see any of the names on the list considering Arkansas and certainly not Bill Self. Maybe the Marquette coach who I happen to like as a coach.

Gino Ford, Kent State, two time MAC coach of the year. Yes I know about Stan Heath.

All Stan Heath did at Kent was coach up Gary Waters players, but it isn't like Waters or any of the other coaches have done much when they moved on from Kent. In order for Waters to be successful again he had to come back to CSU.

From your short list, during the Illinois/Michigan game they mentioned that Tubby has asked for a contract extension so if Minnesota does not ante up maybe you guys could get him. I personally like Buzz Peterson. Comes from a good coaching background.

It could be a final destination though. Blah, blah, blah, Sleeping Giant, blah, blah, blah.

Sutton would have retired there if not for alcohol and Frank Broyles. Same for Nolan if not for the racial chip on his shoulder and Frank Broyles.

People forget what a great run Arkansas had in the 70's and 80's. We were a monster and the SEC won't be down for long.
