Ugh, please no. I've been heckled by some fellow faithful for suggesting that Miles coming to Ann Arbor is not the foregone conclusion that's been portrayed. Behavior like this just underscores my contention.

Love Carr or hate him, you have to admit he at least has displayed integrity and honesty in confronting his losses. Compare and contrast Miles's inane comments with these (via yesterday's UM Football Bust):

"We didn't get it done, and there are no satisfactory excuses because once you allow yourself to make an excuse, you'll always have a way out. So we made none and yet, I am proud of the way of this team fought and I always will be.''

Sports Radio in the PNW, considers Miles to scUM a foregone conclusion as well.

I do agree with your sentiment though.

I am all for Les coming to TSUN. I know he will be comedy gold as the guy in the sweater vest owns him too.

Besides I am sure it will be much easier for him to pronouce OHIO then r-kansas was.

Great post. I agree...

....but you forget the part where it should be illegal not to put angry brown recluse spiders in his underwear right giving him his daily kick in the nutsack.

Old News? Michigan takes step to make Miles next Wolverines coach

ESPN said:
LSU athletic director Skip Bertman confirmed Wednesday night through spokesman Herb Vincent that his Michigan counterpart, Bill Martin, has officially requested permission to speak with Les Miles about becoming the next coach of the Wolverines.

Bertman requested that the meeting not take place until after LSU plays Tennessee Saturday for the SEC championship. Martin told Bertman he will comply.

Miles played for Bo Schembechler at Michigan, where he met his wife and later became an assistant under Schembechler.

LSU will have its own meeting with Miles next week to make its pitch to keep Miles. Sources say Miles will be offered a sweetened deal.

Although formal discussions will wait for next week, a source close to the situation said Miles' agent, George Bass, was in Baton Rouge Wednesday meeting with LSU officials. The subject of those talks is unknown.

Interesting, I just saw this and I haven't heard anyone really talking about it. Seems like Miles may be the new coach afterall. HAVE FUN WITH THAT MICHIGAN!

The more I think about it, the more I realized that Les Miles is the perfect guy that a Buckeye fan would want to coach scUM.

I mean the guy is a douchebag, he's an overrated coach, and he takes huge risks that can only come back to bite him in the ass. I'd like to see Tressel go against this guy annually and throw Miles' own arrogance back in his face...

What's there to not like?

"It's funny, my entire coaching career, I've never enjoyed the color red," said Miles, who was an assistant at Michigan and with the Dallas Cowboys. "Ohio State, Indiana - shoot, when I was with the Cowboys, it was the Redskins. I just see it as another opportunity to go back to my roots and kick the crap out of another team in red."

This is old news, from another thread, but just goes to show the mentality of ol' Les. Could it be Les vs. Tress in another 10 Year War (ala Woody and Bo)? Kind of like the Bucks' chances in that matchup.
