Les Miles (grass eater)

"I like to talk about what we are and not what we lost," Miles said. "I look at a team that hasn't lost a game in regulation. There has not been a team that has beaten us in 60 minutes."

Yeah Les but there's been two teams with 9 losses between them that you couldn't beat in 60 minutes.

Nice try though.

I said this in another thread but all this amounts to is the annual SEC smear campaign on every other conference. Let Les talk, all he's doing is making an ass out of himself, he looks like a whiner now, and the rest of the country is either laughing at him or collectively slapping their foreheads saying "Couldn't he just be quiet?"

How pathetic--wearing his heart on his sleeve, expressing the comfort he found when other ranked teams lost saturday.

Jason Smith replayed the soundbites a few times on his espin radio show last night, and was quite abusive with Less.

He appears to be on the verge of a Howard Dean-esque implosion.

Good to see that someone else liked that.
I couldn't stop laughing after hearing that during the game, but when I referred to it on the in-game thread, no one seemed to find it humorous.
Ah, well, Les. You ARE the head coach... Hooray for you, figuring that all out by yourself...

That interview was unbelievable. Props to Les for figuring out a new way to attempt to whine his way into the NCG. I'm sure that CBS will absolutely eat it up, play it during halftime and talk about how right Les is, only to see LSU lose to Tennessee.

Ugh, please no. I've been heckled by some fellow faithful for suggesting that Miles coming to Ann Arbor is not the foregone conclusion that's been portrayed. Behavior like this just underscores my contention.

Love Carr or hate him, you have to admit he at least has displayed integrity and honesty in confronting his losses. Compare and contrast Miles's inane comments with these (via yesterday's UM Football Bust):

"We didn't get it done, and there are no satisfactory excuses because once you allow yourself to make an excuse, you'll always have a way out. So we made none and yet, I am proud of the way of this team fought and I always will be.''
