Les Miles (grass eater)

This is old news, from another thread, but just goes to show the mentality of ol' Les. Could it be Les vs. Tress in another 10 Year War (ala Woody and Bo)? Kind of like the Bucks' chances in that matchup.

No, Les Miles, first off, has shown that he doesn't compose himself well, he's not going to handle losing gracefully and as much as scUM fan annoys me, I don't think the majority of them are going to handle him making excuses or claiming that their "almost win" should be better than another teams win. Second, his sideline behavior? Ok, at Ohio State that flew with Woody, but isn't that everything tsun condemned?

The upside is if he's willing to deal with 10 wins and just being able to beat OSU half the time, he's employed, but he comes off as a guy who will do anything to win, and I don't know if that flys in the big ten.

I doubt he's a guy who will be the next 10-year war, I think he's more the guy who removes the respect on the field and turns "The game" into full on attempts to end players careers.

Hmmm, a guy that can't strategize, rants and raves, screams and throws hissy-fits on the sidelines in a ballcap. What would be the change again?

Yep. Carrs getting a lot of love right now but he's pulled a lot of shit in his day.He got what he had coming.

Also, forget dancing a jig, I'm fuckin river dancing if they sign up Miles. They really had me excited with Ferentz there for a while but alas, we couldn't get that lucky. Miles is a pretty damn close second imo.

I don't think it will go to quite that extreme. Les may not be the classy guy or the smartest but I see no reason to think he is a cheap shot artist and we know JT will never stand for his players doing something like that.

If anything he may get the heat turned up a bit and make it even more like good vs. evil except this time they will have the Woody personallity on thier end, which I agree will not go over well in AA.

I think if Les can pull off some wins and run his mouth it will heat things up. JT will never get into it with him publically but behind the scenes I would not doubt that JT would be having some choice words.

That's not what I meant, i think he will focus so much on beating the Bucks that he will forget about that respect all together. You start pushing your players harder and harder and suddenly they do whatever it takes to win.

I think it is brilliant, that LSU is "grudgingly" allowing TSUN to talk to Les and pretending like they will do whatever it takes to keep him (behind the scenes they are high-fiving each other).

What a great way to get rid of him, and taking 1.3mil from him in the process.

They might even offer Les more money to drive up the price for TSUN.

Ummmmm, I disagree, To lose your coach first to the Dolphins and Alabama and then to Michigan does not reflect well upon the LSU program. Job searches almost invariably lead to vulnerabilities in recruiting. My guess is that they can afford to jack the price up on Michigan to a point that Michigan can't afford. If they don't, then I would assume you're correct and they are high fivin' somewhere out there.

cinci- 99% kidding, I'm sure they don't want to go through the process of hiring a coach for the 3rd time in the last 10 yrs...but it aint because of 1 recruiting class.

But at some level i think it is clear to anybody who knows football, that he is no genius on game day..in reality they could do better.

Sorry, have to disagree with you there...

After watching that video, and especially the completely, completely ridiculous clip of that guy spearing the guy on the ground... I lost every bit of respect for Miles. If I were a coach there is ABSOLUTELY no way I would let my players do something that blatant and flat-out terrible. That's the kind of play that ends careers and more. Complete bullshit. I have more respect for Mike Vick than Les Miles.

Ok wow that is a pretty good stretch on that being some kind of proof that miles supoports dirty play. Half of it was about refs.

Yeah the spearing and face mask stuff was bad but tell me, did you lose all respect for JT too when Carpenter choked the Wisky QB a few years back? These are kids and they do shitty things sometimes. that does not mean the coach is cool with it.

Just for clarification most of the video I thought was a little BS. But some plays were ridiculous. No, I didn't lose all respect when Carpenter choked the Whisky QB.
But 1) JT has a track record of being classy. Miles has a track record of the opposite
2) Those were all clips from ONE game!
3) A bunch of those facemasks, and that spearing play, were DEFINITELY much worse than carpenters choke.

I am not saying they aren't worse. Miles is goofy and mouthy but I did not realize that he was considered a dirty coach and don't think one you tube video from one game from somebody who obviously hates him proves it. To be honest the spearing I see that shit happen all the time and I am not sure how it is not called more often.
