Miles and LSU are stuck in a war they can't win. Part of me believes that Urban left Florida due to the combination of Saban and Alabama - the state and the school. I don't know that any school can compete year in and year out with that combination. No push back from the faculty, no limits from the state, a friendly media situation, no investigations from the SEC or NCAA and a very low bar in academics. A winning combination.

don't forget the seemingly very friendly treatment from the SEC offices (located in their backyard).

the 2 years of "bridge scheduling" was a joke.
after adding A&M and Mizzou, the SEC spent a couple years trying to figure out long term conference football schedules. during that time, they crapped all previous rotation of cross division opponents and they waited until late in one football season to put together the schedule for the following year.

LSU already has Florida as a permanent for while Bama has a very down Tennessee as thei permanent foe.

for the other cross division game ended up looking like this
2012:
Bama got Mizzou (projected to suck and finished 2-6 in SEC PLAY)
LSU got So Carolina (projected to win the East finished 6-2 in SEC play)

2013:
Bama got Kentucky (projected to be Kentucky. Finished 0-8 in SEC)
LSU got Georgia (projected to compete for the East. Finished 5-3 in SEC play)

So during the 2 year stretch that the SEC could randomly choose everybody's one rotating opponent, they gave Bama teams that combined to go 5-27 in conference over 2 years while LSU (biggest threat to Bama) got opponents that combined to 21-11 in conference over the same stretch.

Beware Lambeau leapers: Les Miles says you’ll be thumbing your way back to the bayou

At least on Tiger stated earlier this week that, despite the penalty and knowing “coach Miles won’t be happy with me,” he’s really “looking forward to” doing the Lambeau Leap. “I’ll take that punishment when we get back Monday morning,” defensive back/punt returner Tre’Davious White added.

Getting back, though, could prove problematic, especially if his coach follows through on his “threat.”

The end zone is an unfamiliar place for your offense so I'm not surprised.

hey now! this is the 487th consecutive year that we're told by staff and media that our QB has shown "significant improvement for last year".
which means in roughly 236 more years we'll have a QB that is almost not shitty. and by the year 2847 our QB will rise up to mediocrity.
