Les Miles (grass eater)

Yeah, you guys are fucked until 2022

yep.

bad thing is this was supposed to be a great year for us.
returning more players than we have in a very long time. athletes all over the field. possibly most experienced team in conference.

Tre White was a potential first round pick (2nd at latest) last year. He came back specifically because he wanted to be a part of this team getting over the hump. He's been the definition of a team leader for LSU since he got here. That's why he was awarded the #18 jersey before last season.

Unfortunately he's the only guy that showed up yesterday. Played his ass off and is almost singlehandedly the reason we were even in a position to steal a victory we didn't deserve.

feel bad for that guy. he deserved better than what the team and staff put out yesterday.

I feel bad for LF. Imagine if he was on a team that had a passing game.

it wouldn't even need to be a good passing game. just somewhat of a semi-threat to maybe possibly hope to complete an 8 yard pass once per quarter would make him nearly unstoppable.

give him an offense actually capable of moving it through the air and we'd be talking about Fournette like people talk about Jim Brown.

we'd be talking about Fournette like people talk about Jim Brown.

Whoa! Stop right there. Fournette is a great back, maybe better than Zeke, possibly as good as - oh, I don't know, Gale Sayers or Tony Dorset, but unless you're old enough - and lived where you saw the Browns every week - do not compare anyone to Jim Brown until he's Taken a few snaps in the Bigs.

Wikipedia:
After only nine years in the NFL, he departed as the NFL record holder for both single-season (1,863 in 1963) and career rushing (12,312 yards), as well as the all-time leader in rushing touchdowns (106), total touchdowns (126), and all-purpose yards (15,549). He was the first player ever to reach the 100-rushing-touchdowns milestone, and only a few others have done so since, despite the league's expansion to a 16-game season in 1978 (Brown's first four seasons were only 12 games, and his last five were 14 games).

Brown's record of scoring 100 touchdowns in only 93 games stood until LaDainian Tomlinson did it in 89 games during the 2006 season. Brown holds the record for total seasons leading the NFL in all-purpose yards (5: 1958–1961, 1964), and is the only rusher in NFL history to average over 100 yards per game for a career. In addition to his rushing, Brown was a superb receiver out of the backfield, catching 262 passes for 2,499 yards and 20 touchdowns, while also adding another 628 yards returning kickoffs.

Every season he played, Brown was voted into the Pro Bowl, and he left the league in style by scoring three touchdowns in his final Pro Bowl game. Perhaps the most amazing feat is that he accomplished these records despite not playing past 29 years of age. Brown's 6 games with at least 4 touchdowns remains an NFL record. Tomlinson and Marshall Faulk both have five games with 4 touchdowns.

Brown led the league in rushing a record eight times.

I don't mean to insult Brown in anyway. and I'm not saying LF would be better than him.

but right now he's being compared to some of the all time greats in this game and doing things similar to Bo and Hershel.

except he's doing it without anything that even remotely resembles a competent college offense around him.

now imagine if there was anyone else on the field who was even the slightest threat to do something productive once in a while.

I hear what you're saying but he needs to do it in the big games and put the team on his shoulders. To date he's hasn't.

Still, I believe he's a great player.

I agree we need to see it in a big game. the problem is the QB woes are even more magnified in those games.

Bama can dedicate 10 people solely to stopping LF and use that one extra guy to shut down anything else we may try.

Fournette is good. damn good. but he can't beat those team by himself.
