Les Miles (grass eater)

local news ran a video from inside the bar before the fight.

you see the Marine arguing with a female.
looks like nothing more than a little yelling back and forth.

JJ and the Marine bump into each other, and neither really seems to even take notice of the other.

the Marine is then escorted out.

the interesting part is that JJ is wearing white (or some other light color).

which means either he changed his clothes really effing fast.
or he ain't the guy doing the kicking in the video shot from a phone.*

which now brings up the question "who is the guy dressed in black doing the kicking"

JJ wasn't wearing black, so it ain't him.
the other JJ (Josh Johns) is white, so it ain't him.

*not saying JJ didn't kick anyone, just saying the kick in the video was not performed by JJ*

Re: Source details LSU brawl victim injuries

Four people, who are not football players, were treated and released at a hospital in the early morning hours after the melee. A 19-year-old woman told investigators she saw Jefferson kick one of the victims in the face, and police later executed a search warrant of Jefferson's apartment, taking 49 pairs of shoes.

Anybody out there have more than 49 pair of shoes? This guy has more shoes than Imelba Marcos.

Josh John place has now been searched, as well as him giving a DNA sample.

5 days AFTER he was arrested.

a few questions.

If you had enough info/evidence to arrest him, why search his apartment and get DNA now?

If you needed evidence from his apartment and DNA, why did you arrest him before obtaining that info?

Why are there no public reports as to exactly what Johns is accused of like there is for JJ?

How many pairs of shoes did Johns have?

They wouldn't issue an arrest warrant if they didn't have probable cause.

My guess would be that they have witness statements about Johns' conduct, or maybe something Johns said during his questioning. Just purely a guess though.

i figured they had to have "something" on him.
just that nearly a week after raiding JJs place,do they think Johns is still holding on to shit that could possibly implicate him?
If it's shoes (my guess) they're looking for, he probably no longer owns the pair he was wearing that night.

and I realize he ain't a star player, but a little info would be nice.
other than him being arrested and the charge, we've heard nothing else about his alleged involvement.

no one knows what exactly he's accused of.
seems like in a high profile (at least locally) felony case, something would have leaked by now.

Oh, I agree.

I was just pointing that stuff out.

This is an interesting case, and more and more both attorneys are airing their versions in the media.

CBS

Victims' lawyer says expect more arrests in LSU bar fight

The lawyer for four men injured in a brawl involving LSU football players expects more arrests for the beating of one client who suffered three fractured vertebrae.

"Other arrests could be made in this case that are just as serious as the two already made," attorney Michael Bienvenu said. "This isn't over."

LSU starting quarterback Jordan Jefferson and reserve linebacker Josh Johns turned themselves in to the East Baton Rouge Parish jail after police obtained warrants charging them with felony second-degree battery for the Aug. 19 melee outside Shady's bar.

Jefferson and Johns are accused of beating Andrew Lowery, who is one of Bienvenu's four clients. Bienvenu has declined to make public the names of the three other injured men he represents, including the man with the broken vertebrae. He was allegedly pulled from a pickup truck after honking his horn at an agitated crowd of people blocking his way.

"This wasn't just Jordan Jefferson and Josh Johns," Bienvenu said. "We're still looking for those guys that started that initial beating of the driver, and it is undeniably curious that nobody on that football team can come forward and say who was involved in that."

LSU has barred players from discussing the case publicly. Police have interviewed an undisclosed number of players, but have not discussed what was said.

Police chief Dewayne White said he is no longer commenting on the facts of the case because the investigation is ongoing. East Baton Rouge Parish District Attorney Hillar Moore, who is reviewing the evidence and will decide whether to prosecute, did not immediately return a phone message.

Attorneys for Jefferson and Johns have said their clients are innocent and that witness accounts in a police report that implicated the players are unreliable.

Still, for the players, the arrest warrants have already damaged their careers as both have been suspended indefinitely and will miss fourth-ranked LSU's season opener Saturday night against No. 3 Oregon in Dallas.

Jefferson's lawyer, Lewis Unglesby, has formally requested that LSU coach Les Miles lift the quarterback's suspension.

"The punishment he'll get from the legal system is nothing compared to punishment suffered as result of his suspension," Unglesby said.

Cont'd ...

So all those Michigan Alums who were saying "Hoke is a joke, blah, blah blah"
You better read this thread!
You still want to replace the old Carr for one with Les Miles?
Look at all the "battery" problems this "upgrade" would have brought you!
We are Michigan you know!

They chose RR over Miles, not Hoke. And look at all the good RR did there.... probation.
