Les Miles (grass eater)

Les needs to go ahead and sit them and avoid the uncertainty of the starter being yanked the day before the game. Say they broke curfew and were involved in a criminal situation taking focus from the team goals, so the four have to sit until the DA figures it out. Let the back up get the first team reps, and the start versus Oregon. If there is some sudden good news making JJ eligible, they can always stick JJ in the game if things are going bad.

Les needs to stop this circus now and call a starting QB.

Not disagreeing with anything you posted. What are your thoughts on the Oregon QB situation? Or has ESPN so effectively managed to sweep that squarely under the rug such that the issue is not even on anyone's radar screen anymore?

Gator,
Can you offer up a little legal insight on something?

It is rumored that Jarvis Landry owned up completely to his involvement.

If that's true, should we read anything into his not being arrested?
If he admitted to anything illegal, would there be a reason for the police not to arrest him just yet?

Or is it more likely he hasn't owned up to anything yet.

Well, if he had a different attorney than the other three I would have guessed that he flipped on the other guys and got immunity in exchange for his testimony. But as they all hired the same guy to represent them, their lawyer could not ethically represent one guy testifying against the other three. Conflict of interest and all that. So I doubt that he owned up completely because of the joint representation.

I don't know why they are taking this long on such a simple deal - a battery from a bar fight. Cynics would say that they wanted the starting QB to be able to play in the Oregon game. Or that a simpler motive is present - they do not want to get it wrong and be the ones who cratered the shot at an LSU SEC/National Championship Season by bringing a charge that sits a star QB - only to find out later that a misdemeanor battery was the right call. Those guys hold elected office, after all. I guess time will tell.

Look how many times have you awakened from a deep sleep and found yourself in a smoke filled car with a cop on your tail? Not as many times as Darren Thomas. Problem is, there is no real evidence that he did anything. Being the passenger is a lucky break. Oregon is going to implode, if they have not already. What a culture.

First caller claims to be a Colonel in the Marine Corp calling from Quantico, and said he was looking at the Facebook posts about the incident and wants to know why LSU students hate the Marine Corp. :slappy: Gonna be a long night for Les...
